I’m holding Mother Made in my hands for the first time. The book I wrote. Seeing it printed, real, here, feeling it in my hands… I’m teary. Grateful. A little in shock. Final revisions are ahead, but right now I’m just letting this moment sink in. I made this.

You are seen. You are honored. You are deeply, fiercely loved.

The moments that stay with me aren’t always the loud ones. They’re the soft, sacred ones: the squeeze of a hand, the quiet breath before a push, the tears when someone says, “I did it.”

This is why I doula.

Because birth is more than a medical event—it’s a transformation.
Because people deserve to feel powerful, held, and heard.
Because there’s magic in being fully seen during one of life’s most raw, real moments.
Because holding space for someone’s courage is a kind of honor that never gets old.
Because birth deserves reverence. And so do the people giving birth.
