Eight of our staff members entered our first staff Chili Competition! Each of our staff members served a different person’s chili while residents went down the line, trying each delicious flavor and voting for which they liked best. With the recent weather, a warm cup of chili surely beats the cold! Congratulations to our winners!

While our community has grown quite big since we first opened in January 2024, we gathered together to celebrate the charter residents & staff members who have been with us since the beginning! Cheers to Parkers Bend’s second birthday!

It's incredibly fulfilling to witness the joy and camaraderie after our two-year anniversary cocktail hour and banquet. The sight of our residents and staff members, all smiles, truly warms our hearts. Celebrating together as a community, sharing in the happiness, is definitely something to cherish and be proud of.

This week, we’ve gone all in on celebrating our community, because Parkers Bend turns two years old! Led by our Lifestyle Director, Jaida, over 40 residents and staff members came together to start our community mural, and we’re not even done yet; we’re just getting started! Stay tuned for the mural in its finished form. It’s incredible to watch the people who’ve made this community what it has become to create something so special and meaningful!

We boarded the Parkers Bend Airlines for a round trip to Alaska! From the comfort of their homes, residents enjoyed the full tour-guide experience! From an exciting virtual tour of Alaska to a delicious meal inspired by the state’s local food, passengers surely had a blast!

While keeping our residents busy with engaging activities is definitely our priority, we also strive to bring in experts in the community to support our residents in the comfort of their own homes! We are grateful for our community partners, Caring Hospice Service, Sunlight Care, & Sincere Senior Transitions for sponsoring the fun events we had last week, from a fun Casino Night to our afternoon Ice Cream Socia,l and helping us to understand the benefits of aging in place!
