So excited to share that I will be featured in a short documentary sponsored by Columbia University!

Here’s a snippet of what the project will be about: “The current project centers around trauma, and I think your voice, your experience with clients, and your personal experience can help shed light on the topic for viewers. The core of the short film will be a general overview of trauma and PTSD, supported by your own experience, both personal experience and experience as a therapist.”
Cameras will be coming to my home next month. Stay tuned for more details. Once the Doc is released it will be available to the public. 🙏

Sean “Diddy” Combs’ sentencing has dominated the news, but the real story is the survivors who live with his violence.

While perpetrators serve a defined sentence, survivors carry the impact for life. Trauma doesn’t end with a court ruling. It lingers in the body, in trust, in relationships, in the ability to feel safe. Healing is possible, but it is not measured in years—it is a lifelong process.

We should not lose sight of this truth: survivors are handed a life sentence, too. If we want real justice, accountability must be paired with lasting support for those who live every day with the consequences of violence.

Sean “Diddy” Combs was acquitted of racketeering and s*x trafficking charges on July 2 and found guilty on two lesser charges of transportation of former gir...

Thank you SheRises Inc.for giving me the platform to share my !
Resilience is not about never falling apart; it’s about learning how to rise again, carrying both your scars and your strength.
The younger self who endured trauma deserves the love, compassion, and protection you can now give her.
True healing begins when silence breaks — when shame no longer dictates your story.
Parenting with love and safety becomes an act of revolution against the cycle of abuse.
Being unstoppable doesn’t mean being unshaken; it means choosing to keep moving forward, even when the weight of the past resurfaces.

Shari Botwin turned years of childhood abuse into a powerful healing journey—breaking cycles, raising her son with love, and proving that trauma doesn’t define your future. She is truly unstoppable.
