🕵🏽‍♀️ Whodunnit Mystery Night at EmpowerEd!

Tonight, our teens stepped into detective mode, working together to solve a mystery filled with clues, problem-solving, and teamwork.

From analyzing evidence to sharing ideas, the group stayed engaged, supported one another, and built on each other’s thinking the entire time. And yes… Team 1 cracked the case! 🎉

But beyond solving the mystery, what stood out most was the kindness, collaboration, and natural conversations that unfolded throughout the night. This is what EmpowerEd is all about…creating a space where teens feel comfortable, connected, and confident being themselves.

EmpowerEd is continuing to grow, and we’re excited to expand into a collaborative hub designed to support children and families through a multidisciplinary approach.

We are building a network of dedicated professionals who value collaboration, connection, and high-quality care.

Little Chefs Night at EmpowerEd 👩🏽‍🍳🍕

Tonight was one for the books!

Our little chefs had an amazing time cooking, creating, and connecting with one another in a fun and supportive environment. From reading together, to practicing manners while interacting with peers, to sharing their favorite things, it was a night full of meaningful moments.

The highlight? Making their very own pizzas from start to finish 🍕
There’s nothing better than seeing kids take pride in what they create!

At EmpowerEd, we focus on more than just fun. We intentionally create opportunities for kids to practice communication, independence, and social skills in a way that feels natural and exciting.

And yes… there were smiles, laughter, and a little bit of pizza sauce everywhere 😂

I had just as much fun as they did, and I’m already looking forward to the next one!

🍕 Little Chefs Night – Limited Openings Tonight! 🍕

EmpowerEd has a couple of last-minute openings for tonight’s Little Chefs Night from 5:00–7:00 PM.

📍 214 W. Main St., Suite 104, Moorestown, NJ

👩🏽‍🍳 Ages 4–10
🍕 Hands-on cooking (mini pizzas + sweet treat)
🧠 Structured social time with guided interaction
🍽️ Dinner included
👩🏽‍🏫 Led by a certified special education teacher

📝 Families receive detailed notes after the session, including insights that can be shared with:
• Teachers
• CST teams
• Speech therapists
• Occupational therapists (OT)
• Physical therapists (PT)
• Behavioral therapists

☀️ EmpowerEd Teen Summer Clubs 2026 ☀️

This summer, EmpowerEd is excited to offer a series of Teen Summer Clubs designed to help tweens and teens build confidence, independence, and real world life skills in a supportive small group environment.

Many teens need guidance in areas that are not always directly taught in school. Things like organization, healthy friendships, self confidence, and job readiness. Our summer clubs are designed to give students practical skills they can actually use while connecting with peers in a positive setting.

This summer we will be offering three weeklong clubs:

🌸 ExpressHer Sessions
A creative social club for girls focused on confidence, healthy friendships, self expression, and navigating social pressure.

📚 Executive Functioning Essentials
Helping teens strengthen organization, time management, planning, and prioritization skills.

💼 EmployEd
A job skills club where teens practice resume building, interview skills, workplace expectations, and real world scenarios.

🕘 All sessions run 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
🍕 Lunch included
👥 Small group setting with limited spots

The Parent Teen Connection Conference brings together well-known experts like Dr. Dan Siegel and Dr. Ross Greene to talk about things many families struggle with:

• helping teens manage big emotions
• strengthening parent-teen connection

Parents of Toddlers: This Free Virtual Parenting Conference Looks Worth Checking Out

As a special education teacher and the founder of EmpowerEd here in Moorestown, I spend a lot of time helping families understand that many behavior challenges in young children are actually connected to developing communication skills, emotional regulation, and brain development.

Toddlers are not trying to be difficult. They are often trying to navigate big emotions with very limited tools.

When parents understand what is happening developmentally, it becomes much easier to respond in ways that support growth instead of creating power struggles.

This free virtual conference brings together experts who will be discussing topics like:

📚 Why do some children struggle to learn to read?

For many students, reading difficulties are not about effort or intelligence. Often, it comes down to how reading is taught.

At EmpowerEd, we use Structured Literacy, an evidence-based approach that explicitly teaches the relationship between sounds, letters, and words. This method is widely recognized as the gold standard for helping students with dyslexia and other reading challenges.

Structured literacy is a key part of the work we do with students through programs such as Barton Reading & Spelling, SPIRE, and Fundations, all of which focus on building strong phonics and decoding skills step by step.

Because reading development is connected to language, attention, processing, and visual tracking, our approach always considers the whole child. When we understand how a student learns best, we can provide instruction that builds both skill and confidence.
