🚨 Quite often, rhomboid pain (between the shoulder blade and the spine), is the RESULT of weakness, rather than the CAUSE of the discomfort you feel.
⌛️ Endless lacrosse ball trigger point release, massage, adjustments are going to provide short term relief, but finding the underlying cause will go much further.
🔑 Perform the quick self assessment shown in the video to determine if weakness of the serratus anterior may be contributing to overactivity of the rhomboids which causes it to always feel “tight”. If you notice scapular “winging” on the painful side, perform the exercises shown daily for 2 sets of 15 to improve activation and endurance of the serratus anterior muscle and take some stress off that aching spot.
