First Shift Office Manager Job Description
Our well-established, high volume Chiropractic Office in Mooresville is seeking an additional team member; a highly motivated and experienced first shift Office Manager. Our office is committed to the health of our patients and we are looking for a new team member with the same commitment to healing.
The Office Manager provides front desk and office operations support for the Chiropractor. They are responsible for patient flow in the office and administrative tasks; taking phone calls, greeting patients, scheduling, take/record patients’ information, verifying patients’ insurance information, collections, handling mail, maintaining inventories, and office cleaning.
We are looking for an Office Manager to work the following part time hours (~35 total per week):
Mondays and Wednesdays 7:45am to 2pm
Tuesdays, Thursdays 6:15am to 2pm
2 Fridays per month 6:15am to 1pm
Potential to fill in or swap other hours with second shift Office Manager.
What We Offer
Starting pay $19-$21 per hour based on experience; pay is reevaluated after a 90 day trial period and there is room for growth in the future. Mandatory Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
Computer skills; Microsoft Word, Excel
Interpersonal communication skills
Two-year commitment
Preferred Requirements:
Chirotouch software experience
Certified Chiropractic Clinical Assistant and current with NC Board of chiropractic examiners (if you do not hold this certification, we will put you through this program after an initial probationary period)
An Office Manager is expected to perform the following list of duties:
Greet patients entering the office
Assist patients with intake paperwork
Schedule appointments in person or on telephone, and email.
Coordinate chiropractors’ and massage therapists’ schedules with patients’ appointments
Manage patient flow in the office for the Chiropractor and massage therapists
Take and verify insurance information from patients
Prepare procedure rooms in accordance to chiropractor’s instructions
Complete insurance requirements for the patients’ benefit
Stock procedure rooms with supplies and ensure that all supplies are available at all times
Ensure safe storage of equipment and supplies
Manage inventory levels
Handle patient data entry procedures as per protocol
Maintain patients’ accounts and financial information in a professional manner
Manage front desk collection duties
Act as a liaison between chiropractor and patients by relaying information correctly
Manage outstanding tasks with other personnel
Manage filing system
Assist with billing as needed
Perform office cleaning
Supervise children while parents are under chiropractic care
Help out with Clovis our office greeter when needed
The candidate/team member must:
