Kindness doesn’t have to be grand. A moment of patience, understanding, or grace can offer more comfort than we may ever realize.

The Indiana Funeral Directors Association, in partnership with its members, has created a powerful video that showcases the important work funeral homes provide in their communities. Pay close attention at about the 4 minute mark to see our good friend and Mooresville resident, Sue Ehrensperger-greenBryson, offering her own comments.

We appreciate the trust you place in us on a daily basis. Mooresville is a wonderful community to serve our friends and neighbors.

Some will remember the headline on the front page of the former Mooresville Times that read “Carlisle Sells Funeral Home”. That was 19 years ago. It’s difficult to let a January slip by without offering our thanks and appreciation to this community. You welcomed us in 2007, and we are grateful for that. Thank you for continuing to place your trust and confidence in us and our team. We are honored to carry this rich history of Morgan County service into the future. Thank you. Since 1895.

Our Story

Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory has been “Providing comfort and guidance when it is needed most” since 1895. This business is family-owned and operated, serving families in and around Indianapolis for many years. Every member of the funeral home staff is committed to providing the family with the highest quality care and service, and they take pride in their responsibility to lighten the burden as they take the first steps toward healing.

Families have the opportunity to be guided through a process that enables the creation of a service that reflects unique preferences, values, and budgets. All common funeral home services are available, including Burials, Cremations, Memorial Services, Funerals, Life Celebrations, Honoring Life, Urns, Caskets and Vaults, Military Honors, Veteran Services, Pre-Need Funeral Services, Grief Resources, and more. One unique feature that most funeral homes cannot offer is an on-site crematory. Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory built a crematory and carriage house in 2010, offering this modern option for residents in the area. Then, Mooresville Monuments & Memorial Gifts was opened in 2016, which is a sister business with a showroom of memorials and monuments that are available to honor the life of a loved one.

Live Funeral Webcasting is another unique funeral service that is offered. Webcasting the service makes it possible for those who are unable to attend to view the service live. Family members can also watch it later at their convenience. This solution is especially meaningful for loved ones who are serving military assignments overseas as well as others who can’t attend in person. The webcast gives people a secure way to participate in the funeral live online. The ceremony can also be archived by saving it on DVD offering a permanent keepsake.

The team provides funeral services at cemeteries around central Indiana, including Mooresville, Camby, Plainfield, Monrovia, Center Grove, and more. Personalized services are available by scheduling an in-person meeting to answer questions and concerns. The best solution is to schedule an appointment in the funeral home, giving families the chance to see the facilities as well as the merchandise and options to fit individual needs. Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory is located at 39 E High St Mooresville, IN 46158. Call any time to schedule an appointment: (317) 831-2080.
