🦷 Tip Tuesday: Proper Cleaning with Braces

Braces create extra spaces where food and plaque can easily hide, increasing the risk of cavities and gum inflammation if not cleaned properly.

✔️ Brush after every meal using a soft-bristled toothbrush
✔️ Angle the brush above and below each bracket
✔️ Floss daily using a floss threader or water flosser
✔️ Use a proxabrush to clean between wires and brackets

Consistent oral hygiene during orthodontic treatment helps prevent white spots, cavities, and swollen gums—so when your braces come off, your smile is healthy and straight! 😁

She was born in the Dominican Republic, grew up in Richmond, VA, and brings 8 years of dental assisting experience to our office—so you’re definitely in great hands!

She’s married to her husband Ernest, who works for NASCAR, and when she’s not helping create beautiful smiles, you can find her doing nails, painting, or hitting the gym 💅🎨💪
