Get up and move today! I feel blessed that I don't have to do a lot of sitting at my job (in fact some days it's a relief to sit down), but that's not the case for everything.
The body is made to move, not to be sedentary for long periods of time.
Here are a couple quick and easy ideas to help you get up and moving:
Stand up while you're on the phone
Take the stairs to a bathroom on a different floor of your building
Do 5 squats every hour
Go for a 10 minute walk - walking helps our brain reset, boosts creativity, and helps productivity

How often do we carry things that are the exact same weight in each hand? Almost never.
So, why do we train as if things are always going to be equal?
Give your core and all those amazing stabilizing muscles an extra challenge and do your farmer’s carry with two different weights.
Want an even bigger challenge? Unevenly load the bar when doing squats or chest press as well!
Just make sure you’re training both sides of your body equally.

Apologies for the absence!
An update into the chaotic life I live:
I started a new job as a personal trainer out of a workout studio (and I’m loving it), I went back to school and am officially on the path to becoming a registered dietitian (I don’t remember school being the much work the first time around), I’m working on another certification through my job, and I’m drinking a lot of coffee and have forgotten what sleep is.
Things I’m still doing:
Taking my own personal clients and writing programs for all of you beautiful people!
I even manage to get my own workouts in from time to time.
So, social media has fallen by the wayside a bit! But, I’m still here and see any and all messages you send! Please reach out with any and all workout, exercise, and health questions! I hope 2019 is off to a great start!
