3 YEARS! The Lice Barn has been open and successful for 3 years today.

Phew, how quickly the years have gone. From opening the doors in Cloquet to making the move to Moose Lake.

Thank you to each and every family who have trusted and supported my business.

A special shout out to our public health, school nurses, and northland foster families who have also advocated for my business.

To my mom, the one often behind the scenes. Thank you for all you did in the beginning and always being willing to step in to help when you're needed.

And to my family at home, thank you for supporting my idea, helping with the heavy lifting, last minute supply runs, the long days and sometimes late nights.

You have all allowed me to be successful.

I am grateful to be a resource and look forward to continuing!

Here is your Sunday reminder to check those heads!

Routine headchecks are the best way to catch lice early.

Combing is the best way to complete checks. Remember to give the "hot spots" (nape of the neck, behind ears, and crown of the head) extra attention.

I have seen kiddos from the following school districts over the past week -

Routine headchecks at home, buns/braids, and mint spray is the best preventative.

Phew, what a crazy month it has been! The Lice went back to school with the students.

My best advice,
Complete routine headchecks, "once a week, take a peek"
Contain long hair in buns or braids
Use mint spray! Lice do not like mint. Mist hair, backpacks, hats, and jackets.

Below is a great reference for any suspicious findings.
