On Groundhog Day, we turned the activiry room into the most unexpected arcade. Staff members volunteered to become the “groundhogs,” crawling around on the floor under a big sheet and popped up at random. The residents were armed with soft foam pool noodles and big grins.
The moment a “groundhog” head popped up, the room erupted—laughter, cheers, and playful shouts.

This year we are focusing on staff wellness. The first installation we undertook was to create affirmation jars. Each jar was filled with positive affirmations and moments of thankfulness to remind us of the good in our lives, even on the hard days.
The goal is to try a new subject matter each month.
In January, we provided staff with a QR code that led them to a compassion filled music list. This is one way that we can show all staff that gratitude is key for staff wellness.
