📣 Announcement from Oakwood Terrace

The Director of Memory Care and Life Enrichment will be out of the building starting today and will return on Tuesday, November 25th. She will be out of state visiting family for the holiday season so that she can be here with our residents on Thanksgiving Day. 🧡

During her absence, all scheduled activities will continue as planned and will be led by our wonderful Med Techs, PCAs, and Managers on Duty.

Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to a warm and joyful holiday week ahead with our residents! 🍁✨

🎄✨ Steel Magnolias is officially in FULL holiday “tree-mendous” mode! ✨🎄

Our residents had a holly jolly morning decorating their Christmas tree, turning it into a sparkling masterpiece! Then this afternoon, they kept the festive magic rolling by adding cheerful touches to the halls of their home.

And the creativity didn’t stop there! Residents wrapped up their day by painting Jenga pieces for our upcoming Christmas ornament sale—proving once again that holiday spirit is the building block of joy. ❤️💚

From teamwork to twinkle lights, today was bursting with cheer, creativity, and big smiles. ’Tis the season at Steel Magnolias, and we’re loving every merry moment! 🎁✨

It’s the most heart-warming time of the year at Oakwood Terrace, and our Giving Tree is officially up! Each ornament represents one of our wonderful residents — and YOU have the chance to make their Christmas a little brighter. ✨

🌟 How you can spread joy:

2️⃣ Fill out the sign-up sheet
3️⃣ Purchase & lovingly wrap your gift
4️⃣ Return the gift with the ornament to Life Enrichment

🎄✨ These Past Few Days at Oakwood Terrace Have Been Tree-mendous! ✨🎄

We’ve been sleigh-ing the holiday season here at Oakwood Terrace, and the last couple of days have been nothing short of fa-la-la-fantastic!

Yesterday, our Polished Silver male Memory Care residents were really branching out as they decorated their home for Christmas—setting up the tree, hanging garland, and making everything look pine-tastic. Talk about a group of real jolly good fellas! 🎅🌲

This morning, the whole building had its spirits snow-balling upward thanks to a holly-jolly live performance from Pat Maue. It was music to our elf-ears! 🎶✨

And this afternoon? Well, we got downright art-tastic! Our Personal Care residents—and even our Executive Director—jumped into action, painting and prepping for our upcoming Christmas Ornament Sale. They absolutely sleighed it! 🎨🖌️

We’re feeling merry, bright, and maybe a little elf-absorbed with how great everything looks. 😄

The Christmas spirit is officially in full rein-gear at Oakwood Terrace! 🎅🦌✨

🎄✨ CHRISTMAS MAGIC HAS OFFICIALLY ARRIVED AT OAKWOOD TERRACE! ✨🎄

Today was one of our favorite days of the year — tree decorating day! Our residents rolled up their sleeves, turned up the Christmas music, and filled the Community Room and Personal Care halls with holiday sparkle, laughter, and pure joy.

From carefully placing ornaments to choosing the perfect topper, every tree is now glowing with the love, memories, and creativity of the amazing people who call Oakwood Terrace home. ❤️

🇺🇸 Honoring Our Heroes This Veterans Day 🇺🇸

Today, our community came together to honor the incredible men and women who have served our country with bravery and heart. ❤️

This morning, we held a touching pinning ceremony with John from Compassionate Care Hospice, where each of our veterans received an American flag pin and a certificate of appreciation — a small token of our endless gratitude for their courage and sacrifice.

In the afternoon, our Life Enrichment Department delivered thank-you cards and beautiful red, white, and blue star bouquets to each veteran, reminding them just how deeply they are loved and appreciated. 💙

To all our veterans — today and every day — we thank you for your service, your strength, and your unwavering love for our nation. You are our true heroes. 🇺🇸❤️🤍💙
