The holidays are a time for celebration, connection, and getting home safely. 🚗

Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over is a reminder that impaired driving puts lives at risk — your own, your passengers’, and everyone else on the road. Alcohol and drugs slow reaction time, impair judgment, and turn a moment into a tragedy. This season, plan ahead, choose a designated driver, use a rideshare, or stay in. A safe decision tonight can save a life tomorrow. 🚘🛑🎄

The holidays bring excitement, gifts, and big smiles — but they also bring a reminder to choose toys that keep kids safe. Each year, thousands of children are treated for toy-related injuries that could have been prevented with simple checks.

When picking out gifts, think about age-appropriateness, small parts, sharp edges, batteries, and materials that could be harmful. Safe toys don’t just entertain — they protect a child’s growth, imagination, and well-being.

This December, let’s make safety part of the celebration by choosing gifts that bring joy and peace of mind. 🎄💛

Human rights aren’t abstract ideas — they shape our daily lives.
They determine whether a mother can access safe medical care, whether a child can receive life-saving vaccines, whether someone facing violence can find protection, and whether communities have clean air and water.

Around the world, too many people still face discrimination, unsafe conditions, and barriers that prevent them from receiving the care they need. Health shouldn’t be a privilege tied to where you live, what you earn, or who you are.

This Human Rights Day is a reminder that dignity begins with health. When communities are protected, informed, and cared for, families thrive, opportunities grow, and lives are saved. Standing up for human rights means standing up for equal access to healthcare, safety, and respect for every person.🌍🤝🕊️

National Influenza Vaccination Week

Flu season is here — and this week is a reminder that it’s not too late to protect yourself and your family.

The flu shot reduces severe illness, hospitalizations, and complications, especially for young children, older adults, pregnant people, and anyone with chronic conditions.
Even if you’re healthy, getting vaccinated helps protect your community and those who are more vulnerable.

A small step that makes a big difference: get your flu shot, encourage others, and keep your winter season safer.

Today we honor the progress made — and the work still ahead.

📊 Where we are now:
• Around 40.8 million people worldwide are living with HIV.
• 31.6 million are on life-saving treatment (ART) — about 77% of all people with HIV.
• Since 2010, new infections have dropped ~40%, and AIDS-related deaths have dropped ~54%.

What’s changed medically:
• Modern ART helps people live long, healthy lives.
• When HIV is undetectable, it’s untransmittable.
• New long-acting injections make prevention and treatment easier than ever.

Testing matters. Knowing your status early opens the door to timely treatment, protects your health, and helps prevent transmission. Regular testing saves lives.

National Family Caregivers Month

November is a reminder of the incredible people who care for others with patience, love, and quiet strength. Caregivers juggle schedules, emotions, and everyday needs — often putting their own aside.

This month, we pause to recognize their devotion and the impact they make in someone’s life every single day.

To all caregivers:
You are seen. You are valued. You are appreciated.
Thank you for showing up with so much heart.❤️

National Adoption Month

Every child deserves love, stability, and a place to belong.
This month, we honor the incredible families built through adoption — and the children whose journeys remind us what hope, resilience, and unconditional love truly mean.

Here’s a glimpse into the reality of adoption in the US :
•On any given day, over 368,000 children are in foster care, and more than 108,000 are eligible for adoption — often waiting nearly three years for a forever family.
•In 2023, about 50,193 children were adopted from foster care, while 36,411 children were still waiting though legally free and with adoption plans in place.
•Roughly 1 in 35 children in the U.S. is adopted, and more than 50,000 children are adopted through foster care each year.

To every adoptive family: Thank you. Your commitment creates belonging, stability and joy where once there was uncertainty. Your love changes lives. 🙏

November is National Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness Month

This month, we honor the millions of individuals living with Alzheimer’s and the families who care for them with love, patience, and strength. 💜
While there’s no single way to prevent Alzheimer’s, research shows that healthy habits can help keep our brains sharp and support long-term memory.

Ways to boost memory and support brain health:

🧩 Challenge your mind with puzzles, reading, or learning something new
🚶‍♀️ Stay physically active — regular movement supports blood flow to the brain
🥦 Nourish your body with brain-healthy foods like leafy greens, nuts, and berries
🗣️ Stay socially connected — conversations and laughter stimulate memory
😴 Prioritize good sleep to help the brain recharge and store memories
💧 Manage stress and stay mindful through activities like meditation or journaling

Every small step can make a big difference in maintaining cognitive health and supporting those affected by Alzheimer’s. Let’s spread awareness, compassion, and hope. 💜
