Today we honor the progress made — and the work still ahead.

📊 Where we are now:
• Around 40.8 million people worldwide are living with HIV.
• 31.6 million are on life-saving treatment (ART) — about 77% of all people with HIV.
• Since 2010, new infections have dropped ~40%, and AIDS-related deaths have dropped ~54%.

What’s changed medically:
• Modern ART helps people live long, healthy lives.
• When HIV is undetectable, it’s untransmittable.
• New long-acting injections make prevention and treatment easier than ever.

Testing matters. Knowing your status early opens the door to timely treatment, protects your health, and helps prevent transmission. Regular testing saves lives.

National Family Caregivers Month

November is a reminder of the incredible people who care for others with patience, love, and quiet strength. Caregivers juggle schedules, emotions, and everyday needs — often putting their own aside.

This month, we pause to recognize their devotion and the impact they make in someone’s life every single day.

To all caregivers:
You are seen. You are valued. You are appreciated.
Thank you for showing up with so much heart.❤️

National Adoption Month

Every child deserves love, stability, and a place to belong.
This month, we honor the incredible families built through adoption — and the children whose journeys remind us what hope, resilience, and unconditional love truly mean.

Here’s a glimpse into the reality of adoption in the US :
•On any given day, over 368,000 children are in foster care, and more than 108,000 are eligible for adoption — often waiting nearly three years for a forever family.
•In 2023, about 50,193 children were adopted from foster care, while 36,411 children were still waiting though legally free and with adoption plans in place.
•Roughly 1 in 35 children in the U.S. is adopted, and more than 50,000 children are adopted through foster care each year.

To every adoptive family: Thank you. Your commitment creates belonging, stability and joy where once there was uncertainty. Your love changes lives. 🙏

November is National Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness Month

This month, we honor the millions of individuals living with Alzheimer’s and the families who care for them with love, patience, and strength. 💜
While there’s no single way to prevent Alzheimer’s, research shows that healthy habits can help keep our brains sharp and support long-term memory.

Ways to boost memory and support brain health:

🧩 Challenge your mind with puzzles, reading, or learning something new
🚶‍♀️ Stay physically active — regular movement supports blood flow to the brain
🥦 Nourish your body with brain-healthy foods like leafy greens, nuts, and berries
🗣️ Stay socially connected — conversations and laughter stimulate memory
😴 Prioritize good sleep to help the brain recharge and store memories
💧 Manage stress and stay mindful through activities like meditation or journaling

Every small step can make a big difference in maintaining cognitive health and supporting those affected by Alzheimer’s. Let’s spread awareness, compassion, and hope. 💜

This Veterans Day, we pause to honor all the men and women who have served in our armed forces. Their courage, dedication, and sacrifices protect the freedoms we enjoy every day.

Veterans Day also connects us to history — it marks the anniversary of the 1918 Armistice that ended World War I, reminding us of the importance of peace, the cost of conflict, and the bravery of those who served. Today, we remember and thank not only the veterans of past wars but also those serving today, and we honor the families who support them.

Their commitment preserves both our freedoms and the lessons of history.

Movember is a global movement dedicated to improving men’s mental health, preventing su***de, and fighting prostate and testicular cancer.

Here’s how you can get involved:
🧔 Grow a Moustache: Let it grow proudly this month to spark conversations about men’s health.
🗣️ Talk About It: Check in on the men in your life. Mental health matters—your support could make all the difference.
🏃 Move for Movember: Run, walk, or cycle 60 km this month—representing the 60 men who die by su***de every hour globally.

This Movember, let’s break the stigma, encourage open conversations, and show men they’re not alone. Every moustache tells a story. Every step makes an impact.

This November, we focus on raising awareness about diabetes, supporting those living with the condition, and promoting healthier lifestyles.

Diabetes affects over 37 million Americans, and 1 in 5 people don’t even know they have it. Early detection, education, and lifestyle changes can make a significant difference in managing and preventing complications.

Here are some ways to help reduce your risk of diabetes:

•Maintain a balanced diet rich in vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins
•Stay physically active — aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate activity most days
•Keep a healthy weight and monitor blood sugar regularly
•Limit sugary drinks, processed foods, and excessive alcohol
•Get regular check-ups to catch any early warning signs

Raising awareness and taking preventive steps can make a meaningful difference in our health and communities.

Today, we celebrate — a time to honor the courage, resilience, and contributions of immigrants who continue to shape our communities and our nation.

Immigrants make up about 15% of the U.S. population, representing people from over 150 countries. They strengthen our economy, start new businesses, enrich our culture, and fill vital roles in healthcare, education, science, and the arts. In fact, nearly half of

From our neighbors and coworkers to the leaders and creators we admire, immigrants help write the story of who we are as a nation — one built on hope, opportunity, and shared dreams.

Every story matters. Every journey adds to the greater story of who we are together.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month — a time to honor survivors, raise our voices against abuse, and stand together for safety, respect, and healing.

Domestic violence affects 1 in 4 women and 1 in 9 men in the United States at some point in their lives. Every year, more than 10 million people experience physical abuse by an intimate partner — that’s nearly 20 people every minute.

Abuse doesn’t always leave visible scars. It can be emotional, financial, verbal, or digital — and it impacts families, workplaces, and communities across every background and income level.

If you or someone you know is experiencing abuse, help is available 24/7:
📞 National Domestic Violence Hotline: 1-800-799-SAFE (7233)
💬 Text: “START” to 88788
🌐 Visit: thehotline.org

Together, we can end domestic violence.

October is recognized as LGBTQ+ History Month, a time to honor the history, contributions, and resilience of the LGBTQ+ community.

Over the years, history has shown how understanding and acceptance can evolve. What was once hidden or silenced is now openly discussed and celebrated, reminding us how far society has come in recognizing that every person deserves dignity and respect.

This observance encourages reflection on the struggles and progress that have shaped our shared story — and the importance of continuing to build a culture of inclusion where everyone is valued for who they are.
