You don’t have to hit “rock bottom” to need support...

For many people, substance use slowly becomes a coping tool, used to manage stress, exhaustion, anxiety, or the pressure of holding everything together.

Life may look fine on the outside, but inside it feels heavy, disconnected, or unsustainable..

Outpatient treatment creates space to pause, reflect, and rebuild without stepping away from work, family, or daily responsibilities. It’s care that meets people where they are and helps them move forward with intention.

If someone you care about is managing life but barely holding on, this could be the right next step.

Recovery isn’t about willpower alone; it’s about support that works.

Clinical therapy has been shown to significantly reduce relapse risk by helping individuals understand and change the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that fuel addiction.
Studies suggest that nearly 50% of people in therapy for substance use disorders make significant progress with evidence-based approaches.

When therapy is combined with medication and ongoing support services, success rates increase even further, because healing works best when it’s comprehensive.

Recovery is possible. Hope is real. And help makes the difference.

The Minnesota Department of Health has released a new Monthly Fatal Drug Overdose Snapshot, providing near real-time insight into overdose deaths across the state. The data confirms that overdose fatalities remain a critical public health issue statewide.

Three key takeaways Minnesotans need to know:

• Suspected overdose deaths continue at concerning levels across Minnesota, showing that risk is not isolated to one region or population.

• Data from the past 24 months reveals sustained overdose activity, reinforcing that this is an ongoing crisis, not a short-term spike.

• Year-over-year comparisons indicate continued vulnerability, highlighting the need for early intervention, treatment access, and long-term recovery support.

Data alone doesn’t save lives; action does. Early identification, compassionate treatment, and integrated mental health care reduce preventable loss and create real pathways to lasting recovery for individuals and families.

At Recovering Hope, we support women, men, and families with evidence-based care that addresses substance use, mental health, and long-term stability, because recovery requires more than crisis response.

If you or someone you love needs support, help is available today.

⚠️ An important update for providers, families, and communities

A new and dangerous shift is happening in the drug supply. Nitazenes, an ultra-potent class of synthetic opioids up to 40x stronger than fentanyl, are increasingly being detected across the U.S., often without people knowing they’re taking them. These substances are not prescribed, not FDA-approved, and not predictable, making the risk of overdose significantly higher.

In his latest blog, Carmichael Finn, Executive Director of Recovering Hope, breaks down what nitazenes are, why they’re appearing in the drug supply, and what this means for people who use substances, those in recovery, and the professionals who support them. He also explains why overdoses involving nitazenes may require multiple doses of naloxone and why harm-reduction education is more critical than ever.

This isn’t about fear or judgment. It’s about understanding the reality of today’s drug supply, reducing preventable deaths, and ensuring people have the information and support they need to stay alive.

Awareness saves lives. Education saves lives. Compassion saves lives.
