Today was all about relaxing and a little self-care✨ We kicked off the morning with fresh nails💅🏼, then wrapped up the day watching a classic fan favorite, The Sandlot, while enjoying tea & popcorn🍿🫖

We even got to watch some snow come down❄️—and one of our ladies would like to kindly let whoever is still doing the snow dance know… it’s time for bed!😂

Such a fun-filled day!🤍

We started our morning catching up on a few episodes of Walker, Texas Ranger — and the ladies were quick to remind me it had been way too long since they’d seen “their Walker”!😉 After that, Book Club kicked off a brand-new read, and the residents voted on Twilight (let the excitement begin!📖✨).

This afternoon, we wrapped up our day by watching the Dixie Stampede and getting creative as we started on our Valentine’s crafts. Lots of smiles, laughs, and creativity all around — the perfect way to end the day!💕🎨

Today was a perfect example of that as our former cook stopped by and shared her love of singing with our residents. Even though she’s no longer in the kitchen, she continues to serve in a way that fills hearts and lifts spirits. Watching her do what she loves reminded us that our “calling” can evolve, but the joy we bring to others never changes.

Moments like these show how vocational wellness can look different for everyone—and how sharing your talents can truly make a difference.✨

This week we celebrate the heart of our community — the Activity Professionals who turn ordinary days into meaningful moments. From bingo cards to birthday celebrations, one-on-one visits to community events, every detail is done with purpose, passion, and love.

Activities aren’t just activities — they’re connection, joy, dignity, laughter, creativity, and quality of life. It’s advocating, listening, adapting, and showing up every single day for our residents.

I’m incredibly proud to do what I do and to be part of a profession that innovates, inspires, and involves. Thank you to my team, my coworkers, and most importantly our residents who make every day worth it.💖

Happy Tuesday!!

What a busy day!🎉 We kicked off the morning with group therapy and a lively game of Noodle Ball, then slowed things down to relax and enjoy an episode of Baking Wars. This afternoon, the fun kept rolling with Bingo and Trivia!🧠✨

What a day! We had so much fun and stayed busy with a new game—Thumb Ball—worked on our weekly newsletter, and played a couple rounds of very competitive Guess What trivia!

One of the Thumb Ball questions was, “What is the greatest advice you’ve ever been given?” and our residents were more than happy to share their wisdom and life experience…

“Don’t get mad.”
“Don’t get out of bed!”😂

But we think the best one of all was: “Always talk to Jesus—He’s the only one that matters.”🫶🏼

You’ll have to forgive us for the lack of pictures—we had a busy day! Today, residents enjoyed book club this morning, and we are finally just about finished with To Kill a Mockingbird. We then spent time worshipping the Lord with Bert; we always love and appreciate him coming in to lead us in worship. We wrapped up our day with a virtual tour, and today’s resident pick was the Titanic!

In honor of National Hat Day, some of us wore our craziest hats… while some of us may have forgotten😜 oops! No worries—we’ll make up for it with National Wear Red Day in February❤️

Story: National Pet Dress Up Day was extra special thanks to ACRAF bringing in their sweet pups all dressed up and ready to spread joy!🐾🎃🐝 From pumpkin costumes to bumblebees, these furry friends sparked smiles, laughter, and meaningful conversations among our residents. Moments like these are a perfect example of social wellness in action—creating connections, encouraging interaction, and reminding everyone that companionship comes in many forms. with Flourish Wellness, we believe building relationships and fostering a sense of belonging is just as important as physical health, and today proved that sometimes all it takes is a wagging tail and a cute costume to bring people together.💛

i know, i know—y’all miss us and are wondering what we’ve been up to! we’re sorry… we just can’t help that we’re so likable!😜

wow, what a week! (yes, i know—it’s only Tuesday.) yesterday was a sad day for us, so we took time to grieve, relax, and watch The Golden Girls. today, though, it was time to recharge and get up and get active! we had a full day with a few rounds of competitive “Guess What?”, then played bingo while sneaking in some trivia—and let me tell you, these residents could win a million-dollar jackpot on a game show!

New Year, same fun!✨

What a day! This morning we called to session our Resident Council, then headed outside to soak up the beautiful weather with a game of Washers. Seriously—can you believe we’re getting 60° weather in January?! The residents were thrilled to be outside enjoying it. We wrapped up the day with our annual game of Bingo… which means it’s officially time to restock the candy and Coca-Cola!😜
