Megan opened Sound Massage in 2017 after receiving her Associate's Degree in Therapeutic Massage at CCC. Her office is located within Morehead City Chiropractic. Her focus is mainly pain management and prevention including techniques such as medical massage, Medi-cupping, and therapeutic deep tissue. Most recently, Megan's introduced another modality to her clients which she practices out of Bodhi Yoga. Thai Massage helps reduce fascial restrictions, increases flexibility and mobility, and improves postural alignment. This ancient healing therapy is performed on a mat on the floor using a combination of acupressure, myofascial compressions, and passive yoga-like stretching.

"I've seen many clients for 5+ years and we've noticed greater results through this style of bodywork! Some of them, marathon runners and cyclists, benefit greatly which I attribute to the assisted stretches. One huge reason I love incorporating stretches into a massage is for the neuromuscular re-education- PNF within a massage retrains the movement proprioceptors. Thai Massage allows me to incorporate my passion for yoga and massage therapy into a single session for a truly holistic bodywork experience!" In addition to a 90-minute traditional Thai Massage, Megan also offers assisted stretching into her table sessions.
