Hope Recovery Homes

Hope Recovery Homes Hope Recovery Homes, Inc. exists solely for the purpose of helping those suffering from alcoholism a Tuesday and Thursday they are in session from 9am – 4pm.

Hope Recovery Homes, Inc., is a Twenty-four-hour nonprofit stabilization facilities established for the purposes of shelter care and recovery from alcohol or other drug addiction through a 12-step, self-help, and peer role modeling approach. Our Program is a Faith-Based, Stabilization Program of Recovery providing assistance, support and fellowship to adults recovering from the ravages of drug and alcohol addiction.Many of our guests, if qualified, may be eligible for full funding assistance as establish by guidelines set forth by NC States Division of Health and Human Services and governed by our Local Management Entity/Managed Care Organization. Currently we offer full-funded services to residents of Onslow, Carteret, Pender, New Hanover and Brunswick Counties. At Hope Recovery Homes, Inc., we operate alcohol and drug free transitional residences (Recovery Homes) which foster and promote individual growth and the restoration of meaningful, productive, and spiritual lives. We rely heavily upon the individual’s expressed commitment and dedication to recovery. The program length is 180 days – we are a faith based stabilization program of recovery. During that time our residents are kept on a very busy schedule, which they are expected to maintain. We partner with Carteret Counseling Services so that participants may receive clinical assistance as well. They will attend classes on Monday, Wednesday and Friday for Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient (SAIOP)
In the afternoon hours until 4pm they attend various classes for AA, 12 Steps and faith based studies. When not in session residents have free time to do something fun such as fishing or bike riding; residents are also encouraged to rebuild relationships with their families. While in our program residents apply for assistance through DSS for food and are responsible for their own meals. Very often they will take turns preparing a meal and eat together as a “family”
Staff is available 24/7 . We have a House Supervisor or Peer Support Specialist that lives in each residential home to give guidance and stabilization to those participating in the program. For the first three months each guest will attend classes daily to learn about their addictive disease. They do not look for employment during this time, therefore they are able to focus on their studies and learn how to overcome their disease. At one and one half to two months they are encouraged to enroll with Work Force Solutions office and Vocational Rehabilitation Office so that they can begin the process of learning what may be available for them as they will transition back into the working population at approximately month four of the six month program. At month four they are looking full time for employment so that at the end of 180 days or six months they are prepared to move out and on their own or perhaps back with family. During months four, five and six they are continuing with the program elements and also will be gainfully employed so that they are prepared to make a transaction into the reality of day to day living.

How does substance use affect your brain?

Here at Hope Recovery Homes, we are very proud of our success rate, which is much higher than those of similar programs. This lets us know that each of the people we have offered assistance to have worked harder than ever before and they are on the road to recovery. It also lets you know that we are doing our job effectively.

During the participants stay, we maintain a comprehensive program that requires strict adherence to our rules. As part of the admission process, applicants are required to fill out our App, Contract, and Rules. Forms may be downloaded, printed, signed and scanned to info@hoperecoveryhomes.org.

Applicants, for admission to the program, typically have a referral from an inpatient treatment facility, detox center or jail. Prior to admission, you may be required to provide us with an assessment indicating clinical needs from your referral source. Upon admission, participants must pass a drug and alcohol test. State funding is available for those who qualify.

SEPTEMBER IS NATIONAL RECOVERY MONTH

National Recovery Month, which started in 1989, is a national observance held every September to promote and support new evidence-based treatment and recovery practices, the nation’s strong and proud recovery community, and the dedication of service providers and communities who make recovery in all its forms possible.

Our mission is to support individuals, families, and communities on their recovery journeys and foster hope for overcoming addiction worldwide.

We encourage communities and organizations to light up the night in purple, celebrating progress in addiction treatment and recovery and advocating for global support for addiction recovery.

Celebrating sobriety milestones may not seem very important, but it can actually help many people stick with their sobriety. Milestones can mark progress toward long-term goals and show us that recovery is always possible. Every Thursday night we gather for family dinner at the Peer Recovery Center to celebrate those who have successfully achieved their recovery goals. Recognizing the clients milestones is also a good reminder of why we, HMCC, are here. 🕊️🙏🏻🤍

Today (Aug. 31) is Overdose Awareness Day. Every life is worth saving, and the life you save might be someone you love.

Thank you for all the work each and every person does to break the stigma of addiction and provide hope and a safe space to help transform lives.

Let us bow before the Lord in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we pray for all those in recovery whose demons are kept at bay one day at a time; for those clean twenty-four hours and wondering if they will make it another day;
for those in the middle of ninety meetings in ninety days;
for those whose years clean and sober are like a resurrection from the dead.

We acknowledge all the times they cannot remember and the days of pain they will never be able to forget;
the families that they lost and the community that they have found;
the lives they have now that they once could not even have imagined.

We remember those who tried and did not make it. We pray for all those still out there using today. We pray also for all of us whose addiction is not he**in, but money; not co***ne but nationalism; not alcohol but ego.
May we be ruthlessly honest with ourselves and willing to admit our need for you and for others.

O God, when your people wandered in the wilderness, you nourished them one day at a time. When Jesus and his friends asked you for what they really needed, it was bread for today.
We confess that there are days when this one day at a time business seems like very little, but we are grateful that there are days when it seems like more than enough.

Let this day be one of those.
Amen.
