Halloween looks a little different for one of our young patients this year. An unexpected hospital stay meant Emily would miss out on her Kindergarten celebrations and trick-or-treating with her sister, so our pediatrics team brought the treats to her! 🍬🍫

Thanks to the creativity and compassion of Dr. Ishmael and staff, “reverse trick-or-treating” made sure she could still experience the magic of Halloween—UK St. Claire style! 🎃💙

"Kids are only kids for a little bit. I remember being in the hospital on holidays and what that felt like. I don't want that to stick with her," said Dr. Ishmael. Thanks to all the staff who made sure Emily had an extra sweet day!
