Why did we plan this retreat?
Every year we all pretend that January 1st is the magical moment when our entire life gets organized.
You buy that beautiful new planner. You set your intentions, or goal or pick a word of the year. You feel like you have a fresh start.
But if we’re being real…January is a terrible time to reinvent yourself.
It’s cold. It’s dark. Everyone is tired. Half the time we’re just trying to remember what day it is and get through winter without becoming a full-time blanket burrito. Hibernation is a real urge.
Spring, on the other hand, is when things actually start to feel possible again.
The sun comes back. The air warms up. The trees start doing their thing. And suddenly there’s this little spark of energy that says, maybe I do want to think about what’s next.
That’s the spirit behind our Lakeside Retreat, planted perfectly next to Spring Solstice.
It’s a day to step away from the noise for a bit and spend time outside, near the water, moving your body, having real conversations, and creating some breathing room to think about the season ahead.
There will definitely be yoga. As well as good food.
There will also be time to sit by the lake and remember that life doesn’t always have to move at full speed.
And if you want to know what we really think, one of the best parts is the people. The kind of community that happens when you get a group of thoughtful women together in a beautiful place with no real agenda except to slow down and enjoy the day.
If you’ve been feeling that little springtime nudge to reset, reflect, or just take a day for yourself, this is a really lovely way to do it.
