Our Approach Helping People Live Better & Successful Lives A Caring Alternative, LLC (ACA) is a well-established comprehensive care agency that has proudly served the community since 2006, providing behavioral health and substance use disorder services to adults, adolescents, and children in Western North Carolina. Our comprehensive care agency is a values-based behavioral health system. We are committed to mental health care disparities and health equity to ensure a focus on inclusivity and accessibility to people with disabilities and similar challenges.

Morganton, Marion, and Statesville will open to the public at 11:00 AM.

Hickory location will be remote due to icy parking lot.

PSS and ISS are very short staffed. We have several team members who have gone above and beyond to make sure clients have been seen and assisted in the past two weeks. We will continue to need staff to step up and work overtime to address our clients' needs and continued services. Please give a shout out of appreciation for their efforts in making my job easier during this time.

Also, the CST teams, Renee Brackett and HR, have offered great support and assistance during this time.

Jill is new to the agency, and she has fit right in over here at CST NW. She has taken on some difficult clients and is doing an amazing job meeting them where they are at. Today during a session one of the client's complimented Jill on providing motivation in a gentle yet productive way and this helped him complete some tasks in his home that he had been putting off. Jill is also balancing her internship for her Master's degree program and still providing quality care to her CST clients. She is a pleasure to work with and a definite benefit at the agency.
