🌸 Women’s Health Mobile Unit – Today in Morganton! 🌸

We’re so proud to join our partners at Burke County Public Health, UNC Health Blue Ridge, and Burke United Christian Ministries for today’s Women’s Health Mobile Unit outreach.

This pilot program offers free women’s healthcare for those experiencing homelessness or unstable housing. Our goal is to make compassionate, quality care accessible to every woman in our community — no matter her situation.

🩺 When: 1:00–4:00 PM
📍 Where: Burke United Christian Ministries, 576 E Fleming Dr, Morganton, NC

Whether you need a check-up, someone to talk to, or support connecting to resources — we’re here to help. 💕

Say hello to our amazing Clinic Outreach Coordinator, Imelda Jose.
She plays a vital role in connecting our clinic with the community—building partnerships, organizing events, and ensuring families know about the care and support we provide.
We’re so grateful for Imelda’s passion for helping others and making a difference every day!

Fun fact: During her free time she loves to do anything that involves physical activity whether it be running races, going to the gym, going hiking or taking new classes.

We have partnered with Burke County Health Department and other local agencies to launch the Women’s Health Mobile Service Pilot Program: Starting October 22, 2025, free, healthcare services will be available to women experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

Introducing another one of our wonderful FHP Outreach workers: Maria Juan. From conducting health assessments for our farmworkers to providing translation, transportation🚗 and med deliveries. She provides support and services to farmworkers who may lack access to these needs.
Fun Fact: Fall is maria's favorite season and she loves scary movies 👻🎃🍂

Today we are introducing... Sandra Zavala. Sandra is part of our amazing FHP team. As an Outreach worker and Behavioral Health Support Specialist, Sandra works with our patients who are part of the program to provide (behavioral) support and access to resources they made need.
