Messenger Speech Therapy is a fun, therapeutic space where acceptance and inclusion are prioritized. Nationally recognized in the Apraxia Kids SLP Directory.

Special trainings/certifications include: PROMPT (Level 1) trained, Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing (DTTC), and extensive continuing education in the evaluation and treatment of CAS. I provide naturalistic, non-behavioral-based, empathetic, and respectful therapy practices to support neurodivergent children. I utilize a strengths-based, multi-modal approach to increasing communication skills. I aim to empower parents to implement language elicitation strategies in their natural environment by providing thoughtful explanations, models, and visual supports. I am fully COVID vaccinated (+ booster) and following CDC recommendations including use of FDA-approved clear masks, sanitizing between clients, and limiting waiting room use.

I am very excited to share that Messenger Speech Therapy is partnering with On Eagles' Wings Therapeutic Horsemanship to offer hippotherapy beginning this summer!

What is hippotherapy?
🐴 Hippotherapy is a specialized treatment approach where a speech-language pathologist (SLP) uses the movement of a horse as part of therapy to improve communication and related skills.

Why Horses?
The horse’s movement:
🐴 Mimics normal human walking patterns
🐴 Provides rhythmic, repetitive sensory input

And Activates:
🐎 Core muscles
🐎 Breath support
🐎 Postural control
🐎 Attention/arousal systems

👉 All of these are foundational for speech and communication.
