Melita did her Yoga Therapy Teacher Training with Svastha and wanted to share a recent post of theirs with you because we ALL experience stress differently and this insight may be helpful.

The “stress response” is the way our body, mind, and senses react when we face a threat. What constitutes a threat varies; it depends on the individual and the circumstance.

There are predictable pathways through which we experience this stress response. Which of these is triggered depends on our assessment of the situation. This is an ancient evolutionary mechanism. We did not develop it as humans; we share it with other animals, especially mammals.

Listed in the comments below are the five common ways in which the stress response manifests. Let us know which one you resonate most with.

Do you have unused FSA or HSA funds? Many accounts reset in January, which means if you do not use them, you lose them.

Schedule your Bowen Therapy or Myofascial Release Therapy sessions before the end of the year and use your FSA or HSA to pay for these services!

Happy Birthday to Melita, our fearless leader and founder of Zen From Within. She’s enjoying an amazing getaway in one of her fave places on the planet… Taos NM. As much as she swears she’s not coming back, we have it on good authority she’ll be happily back at the clinic next week. Seeing clients at the clinic is also one of her fave things to do. As she’s become super busy with Homeopathy school, she’s turned all the new Bowen Therapy clients over to the other Bowen Therapists.
