Trauma doesn’t only live in our thoughts—it lives in the body, too.

That’s why healing can look like more than just talking. It may involve learning to feel safe again in your body, noticing sensations, and gently regulating your nervous system.

If your reactions ever feel confusing or “too much,” it doesn’t mean you’re broken. It means your body learned how to protect you. 💛

Therapy doesn’t have to start with a crisis.

You don’t need to wait until things fall apart to ask for support.
You can come to therapy because you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, curious, or simply ready to understand yourself better.

Support is allowed before the breaking point. 💛

January can feel heavy for so many reasons—and none of them mean you’re doing something wrong.

After the noise of the holidays fades, what’s left can feel quiet, tender, and overwhelming all at once. Add in pressure to reset your life, financial stress, and less sunlight, and it makes sense if you’re feeling off.

If January feels slow, emotional, or harder than expected—you’re not alone. And you don’t have to rush yourself through it. 💛

✨ Our Therapists Answer
“What’s one thing you wish people knew about starting therapy?”

Starting therapy isn’t about being “broken.”
It’s about being human—and deciding you don’t have to carry everything alone. 💛

Wintering: A Guided Five-Week Experience for the Body, Mind, and Soul

Winter is not a problem to fix.
It is a season to be met with care.

This small, therapist-led virtual retreat is for anyone moving through winter with tenderness, fatigue, grief, or quiet overwhelm—and craving a steadier way to move through this season without pushing themselves to “power through.”

Inspired by Wintering: The Power of Rest and Retreat in Difficult Times by Katherine May, this experience offers gentle structure, reflective practices, and meaningful connection to help you relate to winter differently—not as something to endure, but as something that can be navigated with intention.

This is not therapy.
It is not a class you need to perform in.
It is a facilitated, reflective space where presence is enough and sharing is always optional.

✨ What the five weeks will support:
• Nervous system settling and embodied awareness
• Permission for rest, grief, and quiet reflection
• Gentle reconnection to meaning, creativity, and inner resources
• Steadiness and companionship during an often isolating season

The retreat is intentionally limited to 12 participants to preserve safety, intimacy, and care.

💛 Your investment includes:
• Five 90-minute live virtual sessions
• Wintering by Katherine May
• A thoughtfully curated winter care package (journal, tea, cozy comforts)
• A small, consistent community to accompany you through winter

You are welcome exactly as you are.
If winter has been asking something of you, this space is here to listen.

✨ Hello, 2026. ✨

As we step into a new year, we’re holding deep gratitude for the people who trusted us, sat with us, healed with us, and showed up—sometimes on their hardest days.

This year reminded us that growth isn’t always loud. Sometimes it looks like pausing, resting, reconnecting, and choosing yourself again.

We’re entering this new year grounded, hopeful, and ready to keep walking alongside you—exactly as you are.

Happy New Year from all of us at Thomas Integrative Therapy 🤍

Before we sprint into the new year, pause. What are you ready to release from 2025? What parts of you want to be honored for surviving this year?

Reflection is a radical act of self-awareness. And it makes space for what’s next.”

My Practice

Chances are, if you are reading this, life feels difficult. Rarely, do encouraging or joyful life circumstances lead people to look for a therapist. Finding a therapist and scheduling that first appointment can feel overwhelming and anxiety provoking. You may be wondering if a therapist could really understand or help you. Perhaps you have tried therapy in the past and it just wasn’t a good fit. All of your thoughts and feelings make sense given your story and I would love to hear it. If life feels chaotic and your emotions feel out of control, I can help.

Attending to thoughts and feelings is a long-time passion of mine. I have found psychotherapy to be a wonderful tool. Psychotherapy is naturally healing and I have witnessed its benefits, both short and long-term, many times. A powerful process of insight and self-compassion occurs when verbalizing thoughts and feelings to another person in a confidential space.

Everyone has different experiences, thoughts, and feelings. For this reason, I practice integrative psychotherapy. This means that I utilize therapeutic interventions from multiple theories. I will adapt the therapy experience to your individual needs, paying attention to the mind, body, and spirit. My goal is to help each client find the balanced, healthy, life they want and deserve.
