Grief and gratitude often walk side by side, and honoring both is a beautiful way to carry their legacy forward. ✨

Finding peace in the present doesn't mean letting go of the past; it means allowing yourself to bloom in the garden you planted together.

Sometimes, what we carry can feel isolating—like we’re the only ones navigating the weight, the questions, the quiet overwhelm. But the truth is, so many of us are walking through similar landscapes, just in different forms.

In our latest episode of The Therapist Coffee Hour ☕🕊️, we open up a space for honest, human conversation—where nothing needs to be polished or perfect. Just real reflections, shared experiences, and gentle insights that remind us we’re not alone in what we feel.

🌿 As you listen, notice your body.

Is there a place that softens, even just a little?
Is there something in you that feels seen?

✨ You’re allowed to take what resonates and leave the rest.

✨ You’re allowed to move at your own pace.

✨ You’re allowed to be exactly where you are.

If something in this episode speaks to you, we’d love to hear—what stayed with you?

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. 🎗️

A time to listen more deeply.
🩵To believe survivors.
🩵To hold space for stories that were never meant to be carried alone.

Healing doesn’t have a deadline.
And your voice—whether spoken, whispered, or still finding its way—is valid.

If this month feels heavy, you’re allowed to move gently. 🤍

Stress doesn’t always look loud.
Sometimes it sounds like a sudden need to perfect every detail.
Sometimes it feels like quietly pulling away from the people who care about you most.
Sometimes it shows up as that internal pressure to keep going… even when your body has already asked you to pause.
If this is familiar, you’re not doing anything wrong.
These are survival strategies—ways your system has learned to cope, to protect, to keep moving through what feels overwhelming.
And… you don’t have to override yourself to be worthy.
You’re allowed to listen when your body whispers “enough.”
You’re allowed to soften your pace.
You’re allowed to stay connected, even when things feel heavy.
There is space for you to be human here.

Sometimes the most healing thing you can do is find a space where nothing is expected of you. 🌿

Mountain Movement Moments isn’t a typical class or traditional therapy; it is a guided hour dedicated to nervous system awareness and gentle movement. It’s a supportive environment where you can simply arrive, breathe, and exist in community with others. Give yourself permission to slow down and reconnect with your body in a way that feels safe and grounded. We would love to have you join us for our next gathering to experience this restorative space for yourself. ✨

Setting boundaries can feel selfish, especially if you’ve been the one who holds everything together, keeps the peace, or puts others first. 🌿

Of course it feels uncomfortable—your body learned that this was how you stayed connected and safe. ✨

And… both can be true. It can feel selfish, and it can be an act of deep self-respect. 🕊️

When you honor your limits, you’re not pushing people away—you’re creating space for more honest, sustainable connection.

You’re choosing relationships that can hold the real you, not just the version of you that overextends. Boundaries aren’t walls; they’re a form of care for you and the relationships you want to keep. 🤍

Professional support can help you navigate this transition at a pace that feels safe for you.

My Practice

Chances are, if you are reading this, life feels difficult. Rarely, do encouraging or joyful life circumstances lead people to look for a therapist. Finding a therapist and scheduling that first appointment can feel overwhelming and anxiety provoking. You may be wondering if a therapist could really understand or help you. Perhaps you have tried therapy in the past and it just wasn’t a good fit. All of your thoughts and feelings make sense given your story and I would love to hear it. If life feels chaotic and your emotions feel out of control, I can help.

Attending to thoughts and feelings is a long-time passion of mine. I have found psychotherapy to be a wonderful tool. Psychotherapy is naturally healing and I have witnessed its benefits, both short and long-term, many times. A powerful process of insight and self-compassion occurs when verbalizing thoughts and feelings to another person in a confidential space.

Everyone has different experiences, thoughts, and feelings. For this reason, I practice integrative psychotherapy. This means that I utilize therapeutic interventions from multiple theories. I will adapt the therapy experience to your individual needs, paying attention to the mind, body, and spirit. My goal is to help each client find the balanced, healthy, life they want and deserve.
