Site Director Step by Step Early Learning Center, Perryville

Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Site Director has administrative responsibility for daily operation of the assigned program. The Site Director coordinates activities, safety, and delivery of services.

Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:
Bachelor’s degree in early childhood or related field
Bachelor’s degree in nonrelated field plus one of the following:
4 years of experience in early childhood
Active CDA
B-PK Credential
Associate degree in early childhood plus 6 years of experience in early childhood
Eight years of experience in early childhood and completion of the one of the following
Active CDA
B-PK Credential
Director’s Credential
Technical Certification in Early Childhood Education

Staff Stories - Meet Arden Stamps, Early Childhood Development Specialist
"It has been a little over a year since I joined the center as the Early Childhood Development Specialist (ECDS), and every day feels like a new adventure! My passion for working with children began in high school. Volunteering at a local childcare facility had been an eye-opening experience that revealed the wonders of childhood development and the profound impact a nurturing environment could have on young minds. I found immense joy in helping children learn, grow, and discover the world around them. It was a calling that resonated deeply with me, shaping my career path and leading me to pursue a degree in Rehabilitation Science with an emphasis in Child Welfare and Social Services. Each child's unique personality and potential fascinated me, and I took pride in fostering an environment where they could thrive. My role as the ECDS allows me to collaborate closely with the dedicated team of teachers and caregivers at Beginnings Preschool. Together, we create a nurturing and stimulating environment that encourages each child's development. My journey at Beginnings Preschool is more than just a job—it is a lifelong passion that has brought me immeasurable joy and purpose."

Did you know that each child enrolled at Beginnings Preschool and Step by Step Early Learning Center receive an annual developmental screening? Our Early Childhood Development Specialists work with parents, teachers, and if needed, Primary Care Physicians to track and encourage development in all our children.
