🌟It Takes a Lifetime! 🌟 Our Camp Mitchell Lifetime Volunteer Award recepient Harold Hedges was featured in the Democrat Gazette on Sunday, April 19th. It's a great article that covers the impact of his passion and volunteerism. At Mountain Lights in the City this past Friday night it was announced that a bench will be erected at Camp to honor Harold and his work. Good morning last day of Camp Week! 🏕️🎉
Please pray with us

Almighty God, you tell us in your word that since you walk in the midst of our camp, it shall be holy. Therefore gracious Lord, we pray that our camps provide a place of refuge, a peaceful and holy environment where you will continue to walk amongst our guests and campers; that they will know you are there alongside them, loving them and providing guidance and strength in their lives.
Oh God, it is only because of your presence in our lives and camps that we can serve in a way that points the way to your son our Savior, Jesus Christ. Thank you, Lord, for your presence, provision, and your peace. And for the life of the world to come.
Amen.

⭐️ 1 day away from Mountain Lights in then City ⭐️
It is important to be reminded of why this event is taking place. Funds raised will go directly to the Keller Dining Hall renovation project, which includes much needed repairs to the walls due to lack of a moisture barrier when Keller Hall was first constructed, causing the windows to sink into the wall framing below the windows. Not only will repairs keep moisture out, it will restore the ability to properly heat and cool Keller, saving on cost of utilities. The work now will also preserve views and the design of the building, allowing time for a larger renovation of the kitchen, storage, and restrooms at a later date. Keller Dining Hall is the central gathering place for meals and has housed countless memories for campers, retreat goers, and wedding parties. It is our duty to preserve this sacred space for all to enjoy for years to come. The countdown is here! Each day we will continue to post a little more about this Friday's event. We are excited to announce that The Very Rev. Andrea McMillin will be the featured speaker at Mountain Lights in the City! She is the Dean and Rector at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, beginning her call earlier this year. She is a native of Little Rock and has her own connections to Camp Mitchell. We are grateful for her participation as the featured speaker and look forward to hearing her remarks. **We need YOU to share your Camp Mitchell stories and memories!**

How has Camp influenced your life?
Which important people in your life were introduced to you through Camp?
When is the closest to God you have felt at Camp?
Which family members of yours attended?
Any special occasions take place on the mountain?
Do you recall any funny or silly stories?
These are just examples and guiding questions.

Stories shared will be posted at the Sweet Memories dessert table at Mountain Lights in the City fundraiser on April 17th at St. Saint Mark's Episcopal Church! We invite EVERYONE to participate in sharing your stories, whether you are attending the event or not. Can I share more than one? Of course!

Stories and memories can be submitted through a google form https://forms.gle/brRT85Utms1ER5ky6 or by emailing Abby at aojennings@campmitchell.org. We would love to receive your photos as well.
