As we head into the Christmas holiday, a reminder that our Urgent Care locations in Morris, Channahon and Diamond-Coal City will be open today (12/24) from 8:00 a.m. to 2 p.m. for those experiencing mild illness or injury. Our Urgent Care locations will be closed on Christmas Day, but will reopen on Friday 12/26 from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Have a safe and healthy holiday!

When you need medical attention, it’s important to know where you should go for care. Morris Hospital & Healthcare Centers offers different levels of care depending on the severity of your condition. Using the appropriate level of care whenever possible may save time and money.

When we come together, giving becomes powerful! Over the past several weeks, employees at our offices at the Shabbona school came together to support local micro pantries, turning small acts of kindness into a big impact. Thanks to the generosity of our team, 30 bags of food were collected and shared with individuals and families in Morris and Seneca. Thank you to everyone who donated, organized, and helped make a difference!

Today we honored a special Morris Hospital tradition by bringing together all 2025 Fire Starter of the Month winners for a special recognition luncheon. Held at the Morris Country Club, the event honored the twelve recipients whose dedication and commitment make a lasting impact on our organization and the patients we serve. Members of the executive team joined in the celebration, sharing their appreciation for the excellence, leadership, and positive spirit these team members bring every day!

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our Auxiliary Gift Shop volunteers who so generously gave their time throughout 2025. Because of their dedication and service, $37,000 in net proceeds from the Gift Shop was donated to the Morris Hospital Foundation. These funds help support areas of greatest need, from essential programs and services to state-of-the-art medical equipment, and this year’s Gift Shop donation is being designated to support the Catheterization Lab.

Beyond the financial impact, the Gift Shop is a place of comfort and kindness for all that visit. It offers visitors a moment of peace, a thoughtful gift for a friend or loved one, or a friendly smile during challenging times. Our volunteers truly live out the Morris Hospital mission and make a meaningful difference with every shift they serve!

Congratulations to Radiological Technologist Allison Ainsley, our December Fire Starter of the Month! Allison received three nominations, each highlighting her dedication, her steady leadership, and the genuine compassion she brings to every situation. Her coworkers also shared that Allison is always working hard to address problems and is an outstanding advocate for both her coworkers and patients. She is a shining example of what it means to be a fire starter. Congratulations, Allison!

Happy Holidays! We have been hard at work raising funds for We Care of Grundy County by ringing bells next to the Salvation Army red kettles. A heartfelt thank you to our incredible employees and their families for volunteering their time, allowing us to cover eight hours of bell-ringing shifts over two days. We are grateful to be a part of such a generous community!

❄️⛄The holiday cheer has officially begun at Morris Hospital & Healthcare Centers! Today, our staff had the chance to decorate ornaments for their holiday trees, thanks to our Wellness Department. The creativity and excitement made for a fun start to the season. In keeping with our annual tradition, all employees will also receive a gift certificate toward the purchase of a holiday ham or turkey. We are grateful for the dedication of our team and look forward to celebrating the season together.
