Yesterday the staff and residents at The Legacy got together to show some much deserved appreciation for Jodi, our administrator and director of nursing. Her years of dedication to our community have put us all on the right track and made The Legacy a place to be proud of. We have been fortunate to have Jodi advocating for our residents and family members to ensure everyone gets the best care we can offer, and providing great leadership for those who work here. While we will miss her, we all wish her the best of luck with her next adventure! Jodi, thank you for everything! 🎉😄

Last night we got to enjoy delightful holiday music thanks to the UMN Morris Music Camerata Strings. We had a great turnout and everyone had a good time! Thank you to the students and visitors who filled our evening with holiday cheer! We are so grateful for these kinds of events. 🎻❄️

Friends and family of The Legacy, this holiday season we are fortunate enough to be able to give to not one but *two* fantastic local organizations: The Care Closet, Stevens County, MN and Stevens County Food Shelf! 🎁 With your help, we hope to make this Christmas special for those in need in our community. If you are visiting a family member at The Legacy, consider bringing along a donation of food, personal hygiene items, or new/gently used clothing. 🥫🧤

Our drive will run through December, with boxes in our lobby for donations, but both groups we are working with accept regular donations year-round! Thank you to our community for continuing to lift each other up! 🌟

You may remember seeing our residents working on tie blankets. We were able to donate nine blankets to Eagle's Healing Nest in Sauk Centre along with a gift basket of goodies! A local church worked with us to help deliver these gifts, and we have so much appreciation for everyone involved! 🎁🙏

The Eagle’s Healing Nest is a non-profit that helps support veterans, service members, and their families. They are always open to donations for their residents.

Both The Legacy and The Eagle’s Nest would be interested in volunteers from the community spending time with residents. If you are curious about volunteer involvement with activities, especially around this holiday season, reach out to your local facilities to see how to help! 😊
