We focus on continually serving the needs of Morris and the surrounding communities with dedicated care. If you suffer from vision loss, you’re aware of what you’re missing. You may be unable to see well enough to read that favorite book and to see that familiar face waving from across the way, but you are not quite able to put that model airplane together or work on that knitting project you enjo
y. In order to make those things possible again, you see your eye doctor and correct your vision with glasses. Unlike vision loss, when you suffer from hearing loss, you don’t know what you’re missing. You don’t hear the conversations of family or friends. You can’t hear the radio or television for those favorite talk shows or sports events. You can’t hear approaching emergency vehicles when you’re driving. Thirty-one million Americans find it difficult to hear without a hearing instrument, and one out of six baby boomers suffers from hearing loss. Ortiz became aware 25 years ago that many of his vision patients were also suffering from hearing loss. It was for that reason Dr. Ortiz founded the Ortiz Hearing Center. While utilizing the latest technology, Ortiz’s highly trained health care professionals continue to provide the “gold standard” in patient care like they have done for the past 50 years.
