Trying to stay health-conscious during the holidays? 🎄
SCMC dietitian Noelle Syverson reminds us that balanced nutrition and proper hydration are key—especially this time of year. People who maintain a balanced diet often have stronger immune systems and a lower risk of disease. Eating a variety of foods and drinking enough water each day helps ensure your body gets the nutrients it needs.
A simple way to stay on track is to remember to be AWARE this holiday season:
🎁 A – Assess your hunger before eating
🎄 W – Watch portion sizes, especially foods high in fat, sugar, or salt
🎁 A – Stay active as usual
🎄 R – Reduce distractions while eating
🎁 E – Eat slowly and mindfully
It’s the holidays—enjoy them, just remember that everything is best in moderation!
