❄️ Car Seat Safety in Winter: Keep Your Little Ones Safe & Snug! ❄️

As the temperatures drop, we know how tempting it is to bundle babies up in thick coats — but did you know bulky winter gear can make car seats unsafe?

At Options for Women | Morris, we want to help you keep your child protected every season. Here are a few simple winter safety tips:

✨ Skip the puffy coats or snowsuits in the car seat — they prevent straps from fitting snugly.
✨ Buckle your child in their regular clothing, then add a blanket or their coat over the harness.
✨ Make sure the straps pass the “pinch test.” If you can’t pinch extra fabric at the shoulders, it’s just right.
✨ Warm up the car first if you can, so your little one stays cozy.

Winter can be cold, but keeping your child safe doesn’t have to be complicated.

🦃✨ Thanksgiving Closure Announcement ✨🦃

As we enter this season of gratitude, we want to take a moment to thank our amazing clients, supporters, volunteers, and community. Your kindness, prayers, generosity, and trust make it possible for us to walk alongside women and families every single day. We are truly grateful for each of you.

In honor of Thanksgiving and to allow our staff and volunteers time to rest and be with their families, Options for Women will be CLOSED on Thursday and Friday this week.

We will reopen on our next scheduled business day, ready to serve you with the same compassion and care you’ve come to expect.

If you need to reach us during the holiday, please send us a message and we will respond as soon as we return.
