We would like to express our sincere appreciation to Damon Curfman of the Stevens County Sheriff’s Office for sharing his expertise on scams with us.
Unfortunately, scams are a widespread issue both globally and locally within Stevens County. Mr. Curfman offered invaluable guidance on preventing scams, including avoiding calls from unknown numbers, refraining from sharing personal information, and being wary of offers that seem too good to be true or overly simplistic.
He encourages individuals who have fallen victim to scams or those with questions or seeking guidance on protecting themselves to reach out to the sheriff’s office.
