If you are not already aware, NYC has uploaded much of their vital statistics database! You can now search for records from the comfort of your own home. The search tools are not perfect and are very unforgiving but with any luck, we will see much improvement in the near future. This is an enormous benefit to anyone chasing family history in NYC!
