'Work Hard. Hustle. Push. Keep going. You got this!"

These are the messages we hear on repeat.

But what if:

you slowed down?
you tuned into how you're doing?
you noticed how you're feeling?
you put the doing on pause?
you allowed yourself to just be still?
you trusted God whatever burden you are carrying?

This is the space:

where stress turns into surrender.
where overwhelm is met with rest.
where fear is washed in peace.
where strivings cease and belovedness begins.

This is your reminder to breathe and Jesus's invitation to something beyond the busyness.

Taking dedicated time during the Advent season to rest and dwell in awe of the embodiment of God through Christ Jesus is one of the most special parts of the season! 🕯️

I have held a special Christmas yoga class almost every year. (Minus 2020 & I forgot to take a pic in 2021 🙈) A Christmas class was actually the first official yoga class I ever held after becoming certified.

This week last year, I spent 3 days with these beautiful souls on my first yoga retreat.

Here are my biggest takeaways from the time away from my normal, everyday life:

🔹Temporary time away from routines, is necessary (and Biblical) for a healthy perspective and a realignment of the heart.

🔹It's not possible to pour from an empty cup. Pausing to refuel is absolutely necessary to keep going.

🔹Investment in your self (mind, body, soul) is also an investment in those around you. You can better love and serve those you're called to serve when you love and care for yourself.

🔹We can't do anything alone. Community is everything. If you haven't found the people who encourage and help you grow, go find them! They might even be strangers on the Internet. 🤪

🔹Your struggles, might have solutions that others can obviously see when you can't.

🔹It's okay to have seasons of growth followed by slower, quieter seasons.

🔹I REALLY love yoga. 😅 Having a yoga class every day (or twice a day) is so so good for my mind, body and soul. I felt so amazing afterward the trip. 💖

So, if you have the opportunity to attend a retreat or do something to care for yourself, then take that opportunity! It is ALWAYS worth the investment and sacrifices to make it happen.

Do your hips often feel tight and tense?

When you stretch, do you gain temporary relief from your hip pain only for it to come right back?

I've been in that frustrating and painful place myself after years of long distance running and after birthing both of my children.

Over 2 classes, you will learn movements and stretches to improve your hip mobility and strength exercises for your core and glutes to better support your hip joints and prevent tension and pain.

Jesus can be found in every aspect of Adoration Yoga classes.

He is at the center of our class themes, prayers, worship music, scripture meditation, breath and movement.

My prayer is that every class is a space for you to calm your mind, care for your body and to grow your love for Jesus as He meets you with His love, joy, peace and hope. 💖

P.S.- how cute is this "little Jesus" one of my students gave me? 😍 My kids and I have had so much fun playing with it this week and I admittedly had fun creating this post. 😁

What do you need to lay down and let go?
