National Long Term Care Administrator’s Week
This week, we celebrate the incredible leaders who guide our long term care communities with strength, compassion, and unwavering commitment. Long term care administrators are the heartbeat of their facilities — ensuring quality care, supporting staff, comforting families, and creating a true sense of home for residents. Their work requires rigorous training, lifelong learning, and extraordinary dedication.
Today, we extend a very special thank you to our own Resthave Administrator, Jill Smith. 💙
Jill has devoted many years to serving our community with a selfless spirit, a kind and caring heart, and a passion for ensuring the well being of residents, families, and staff alike. Her leadership has shaped Resthave into a place where compassion thrives and residents are genuinely cared for and supported.
Jill — your dedication, professionalism, and love for those you serve do not go unnoticed. We are deeply grateful for all you do and for the countless lives you touch every day.

We had our 2026 Department Head Retreat last week and it was awesome! The theme was - "Plant Good Seeds". It was a great training and we took home Marimo Moss Ball Aquariums we made. Thank you Madi Do - so cool!!

Mardi Gras Fun at ! Judy Conboy found the baby in her cupcake! Did you know? The baby in a Mardi Gras king cake (or cupcake) represents the infant Jesus, symbolizing the Epiphany (Three Kings' Day) when the Magi brought gifts. Finding the plastic baby brings good luck and prosperity, while tradition dictates the finder must host the next party or provide the next cake.

Employee Highlight: Alivia Geerts
We’re excited to shine a spotlight on Alivia Geerts, one of our wonderful Activity Aides here at Resthave! Alivia has been part of our team for 1.5 years, and we’re so grateful for the positivity and energy she brings each day.

Alivia is currently a student at Morrison High School, where she also plays on the softball team—go Alivia!

If we had to describe Alivia in three words, we’d choose: Helpful, Creative, Friendly. When asked about her favorite part of working at Resthave, Alivia shared:
“There is something different every day for the residents to do.”

We held our Assisted Living Valentine's day party on Friday, February 13th where we announced our 2026 Royalty. Our Assisted Living King is Jack Brearton and our Queen is Judy Conboy! Congratulations to our Royalty!
