Texts, DMs, emails, booking requests, last-minute questions… sometimes all at the exact same time.

And while we love our clients and appreciate every single one of you, the truth is — when you own the business, there isn’t really an “off” switch.

It’s essential to have boundaries- even with your friends who are clients to ensure that your work life balance stays intact.

So sometimes the only thing you can do is laugh, take a breath, protect your peace, and keep it moving.

Because behind every appointment, treatment, and glowing result is a small business owner doing a million things at once.

Aesthetic medicine is not one-size-fits-all. Skin of color requires deeper understanding, advanced training, and intentional care. But beyond clinical skill, there’s another layer: access.

The reality is that inequities in medical school acceptance rates and professional opportunities have long limited representation in medicine. That’s why education is not optional for Dr. Joni — it’s a responsibility.

Her commitment goes beyond treating patients. It extends to mentoring, teaching, and supporting the next generation of aesthetic medicine professionals — especially those who have historically been underrepresented in this field.
