This past Sunday, our physical therapists Jhoanna and Giana attended the Athletic Trainers’ Society of New Jersey (ATSNJ) Conference, where they connected with athletic trainers from across the state and shared NJPNI’s mission to improve continuity of care for pediatric concussion patients.

The day was filled with valuable conversations, budding partnerships, and encouraging feedback from professionals who share our commitment to supporting student-athletes. We’re especially excited about potential collaborations with schools to help bring more education and resources to young athletes and their communities. 🤗

With March recognized as Brain Injury Awareness Month, opportunities like this help us continue raising awareness about concussion care and recovery for children and teens.

Stay tuned as we share more throughout the month about brain injury awareness and how we can better support pediatric brain health. 🧠

Continuous learning is part of how we care for your children. ✍️

Our providers recently gathered for a Lunch & Learn focused on the latest advancements in ADHD treatment.

Staying current on emerging therapies, updated research, and evolving best practices allows us to thoughtfully evaluate new options and determine what may be appropriate for the wellbeing of our patients.

Medicine is always moving forward — and so are we.

By remaining engaged, informed, and collaborative, we ensure that families receive care rooted in both experience and the most up-to-date clinical knowledge available. 🤗

Due to the incoming blizzard and in the interest of keeping our families and staff safe, all NJPNI offices will be closed on Monday, February 23rd.

The safety of our community is always our priority. We encourage everyone to stay warm, avoid unnecessary travel, and monitor local weather updates.

We look forward to welcoming families back once conditions safely improve. Stay safe, everyone. ❄️

A closer look at one of the many services we’re proud to offer at NJPNI. 🩺💙

An EKG (electrocardiogram) is a quick, non-invasive test that measures the heart’s electrical activity. It helps providers evaluate heart rhythm, monitor medication safety, and ensure overall cardiac health — particularly important when managing certain neurological or behavioral treatments.

We are pleased to officially offer EKG testing within our practice, allowing families to complete this important assessment in a familiar, coordinated care setting. Expanding our in-house diagnostic capabilities helps streamline care, reduce outside appointments, and support safe, comprehensive treatment planning for every child we serve.

See? Not so scary after all. 🤗

We’re continuing our Provider Spotlight series with a look inside play therapy at NJPNI Morristown with Avrohom Blesofsky, LCSW, CCPT.

Play therapy is more than toys and games — it’s a carefully guided, child-centered approach that helps children express emotions, build confidence, and develop healthy coping skills in a way that feels natural and safe to them. 🤗

At NJPNI, we understand that neurological and developmental care often goes beyond medical treatment. Through play therapy, children are given space to process, grow, and strengthen their emotional well-being alongside their clinical care.

Below, Avrohom shares what draws him to this work and what he hopes families feel after a play therapy visit:

“What I enjoy most about child-centered play therapy is the opportunity to truly enter a child’s world and help them feel seen, heard, and understood. Children often express through play what they cannot yet put into words, and it is a privilege to provide a safe, accepting space where they can grow in confidence and emotional strength.

I was drawn to this specialty because I believe children heal best through empathy, patience, and trust. My hope is that families leave feeling reassured, supported, and empowered — knowing their child is cared for with compassion and that they are not navigating challenges alone”.

If you’re looking for compassionate, thoughtful support for your child’s emotional and developmental needs, our Morristown team is here to help. To learn more or schedule an appointment, please contact our practice at
