Can cataract surgery be repeated?
Technically, yes, but in almost all cases, it does not need to be.
Cataract surgery is designed to be a one-time procedure. At Lalin Eye, the cloudy natural lens is permanently removed and replaced with a clear artificial intraocular lens. Because this lens cannot develop a cataract, the original cataract does not come back and the same surgery does not need to be repeated.
In rare situations, a lens implant may need to be exchanged for medical reasons, but this is uncommon and not part of routine cataract care.
For most patients of Lalin Eye, cataract surgery provides a lifelong solution for cloudy or blurred vision. Each procedure is carefully planned using advanced technology and personalized lens selection based on your eyes, your lifestyle, and your visual goals.
If you notice vision changes years after surgery, it does not mean your cataract has returned. These changes are often related to natural aging or other eye conditions and can be evaluated with a comprehensive eye exam.
