Headed in for an appointment, and everything shifted quickly.
Her blood pressure was a bit elevated, and from there she was sent to the hospital—where they shared she would be meeting her baby that day 🤍
From 1 cm at her appointment to 3 cm on arrival, her body had already begun.
Once Pitocin was started, her surges picked up and she asked me to come in and support them.
We settled into the space together.
Lights softened.
Music playing.
Essential oils diffusing.
A projector casting calm across the room.
She stayed grounded.
Breathing through each wave, saying over and over how manageable it felt.
We moved gently—
resting, using the peanut ball, guided relaxations, quiet moments between surges.
Her body continuing to open, naturally and steadily.
As things intensified, her body took over.
The shaking. The deeper focus. The shift into transition.
And then… that moment.
The undeniable urge.
We lifted her gown and saw her baby already right there—so close.
With just a couple more waves, he made his way earthside.
Born under the full moon 🌕
6 lbs 5 oz of pure strength and love.
The room filled with emotion as they met him—
his sweet cries, their joy, and stepping into this new role with so much pride.
These are the moments that remind me just how powerful birth can be… even when it doesn’t go as originally planned.
So honored to be part of this one 🤍
