🎉 A Day to Remember! 🎉

On November 21, 2025, Fayetteville Mayor Mitch Colvin officially proclaimed it “Sharon Glover’s Day” in honor of her remarkable service to our community. The proclamation was presented during her retirement celebration at the Way 2 Real Community Center.

We were also proud to have Ann Oshel, Senior VP of Community Health & Well-Being, present Sharon with a special certificate on behalf of CEO Rob Robinson, recognizing her years of dedicated service with Alliance Health.

Sharon shared heartfelt gratitude for everyone who made the day meaningful—from the Cumberland staff to the many friends and colleagues who offered tributes to the impact she has had on their lives.

Sharon, we will truly miss you at Alliance, but we are cheering you on as you embrace this next chapter!

This Fall, Green Level High School turned school pride into purpose— with NAMI Wake - National Alliance on Mental Illness by their side.

From a powerful Day of Service packing wellness kits to a moving “Ending the Silence” presentation, and a packed homecoming game dedicated to youth mental health, students, families, and community came together in a BIG way.

We’re so inspired by what’s possible when students lead, schools commit, and mental wellness becomes a shared mission. Let’s keep the momentum going — stigma doesn’t belong in the crowd.

Alliance COO Sean Schreiber recently joined a panel at the Behavioral Health Business INVEST Conference in Nashville, discussing “Expanding Behavioral Health Urgent Care’s Footprint.”

As the need for behavioral health support grows, urgent care models are helping reduce ER visits and connect people to timely care. Alliance Health is leading this work in North Carolina, integrating behavioral health urgent care into our crisis response network.

The panel explored investments in urgent care, clinical and operational considerations, and how these centers support both youth and adults as part of a full continuum of care.

We’re proud to help shape the future of behavioral health care.

Our Meck Member Engagement & Community Education team joined the 2025 NAMIWalks in Charlotte. It was a powerful morning — walking together on the 2-mile route, listening to opening remarks, getting warmed up, and celebrating community through entertainment, line dancing, and heartfelt stories.

NAMI Charlotte 's mission — “Mental Health for All” — couldn’t resonate more. Their work in advocacy, education, and support is strengthened every day through fundraising events like this. And we’re especially proud that Alliance Health is listed as a bronze sponsor, showing our shared commitment to mental wellness in Mecklenburg County.

Alliance Health was proud to join the UNC Good Neighbor Initiative for their annual fall event! 🍂💙

This amazing community gathering strengthens the “town and gown” connection—bringing UNC students and local residents together for resources, family-friendly activities, and plenty of free meals and treats.

Held at the Hargraves Community Center in Carrboro, the event welcomed 183 community residents and 191 UNC students—including several Alliance members who stopped by our table to connect.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to support this initiative and build meaningful relationships with our neighbors!

A nationally recognized program helping law enforcement officers better respond to veterans in crisis began in the Triangle.

Over a decade ago, two Apex police officers—who were also military veterans—successfully de-escalated a high-risk situation involving a service member in crisis. Their experience highlighted the need for specialized training to support veterans facing mental health emergencies.

They partnered with Roosevelt Richard, Crisis Intervention Trainer at Alliance Health, to design a dedicated training program. Within six months, the first cohort was launched.

Today, ten years later, this program has grown into a nationwide model, equipping officers across the country with the tools to recognize and respond to the unique needs of veterans and service members in crisis.

The idea started when two Apex police officers responded to a call involving a military member who had barricaded himself inside a home.

Alliance Health has partnered with Wake County’s 911 call center as part of the Raleigh CARES program, embedding licensed clinicians directly into emergency response.

These mental health professionals work side-by-side with dispatchers and first responders to assess, de-escalate, and connect callers in crisis to the right care — whether that’s community services, mobile crisis teams, or other support.

Together, we’re building a more compassionate, coordinated, and effective response for our neighbors in need — reducing reliance on law enforcement and prioritizing mental health support first.
