✨ Meet Erin — Our Newest Pilates Instructor at The Collective Flow Yoga Studio! ✨

We are SO excited to welcome Erin to our community!

You can practice with her:
🖤 Mondays at 6:00 AM
🖤 Sundays at 12:00 PM (Noon)

Erin teaches Mat Pilates and Pilates Pump — and her background is truly something special.

Erin’s love for Pilates began with her extensive dance training at a young age. After recently moving back home to Peoria (where she was born!) from Los Angeles, she brings with her world-class training and experience.

She was certified under Maria Leone, widely regarded as the authority in form-first, athletic Pilates.

With 10,000+ studio hours and a certification in Mat Pilates through Bodyline (Maria Leone), Erin blends precision, strength, and athletic flow into every class.

She is honored to now be teaching and sharing her passion and knowledge of Pilates with the Central IL community — and we are honored to have her at Collective Flow.

We’re so excited to introduce Kennedy, our newest Pilates instructor!

Kennedy recently completed her Mat training through Balanced Body and is finishing her hours to sit for her certification exam 👏

She’s passionate about creating feel-good flows that leave you stronger, longer, and smiling when you walk out the door. Her goal? To make movement something you actually look forward to.

We already know she’s going to be such a beautiful addition to this community.

Shawn is a RYT-200 Hour yoga teacher and he has been practicing yoga since 2019. He also has 24 years of experience coaching high school swimming. He has a passion for helping people apply movement patterns to their unique body.

Shawn spent his 20s and 30s as an endurance athlete swimming, cycling and running as much as he could. The many years of embracing the go hard or go home attitude on the road left him with joint pain, muscular imbalances, and poor flexibility. He came to yoga seeking strength and flexibility to enhance his running and cycling but soon realized that a soft and patient approach to movement was serving him better. Yoga brought him additional strength, flexibility and a body that felt good and functioned well.

He began practicing Ashtanga Yoga regularly in 2022. Last year, he completed a 40 hour Ashtanga teacher training with David Swenson. He enjoys working with people that are new to yoga, athletes, students that want to integrate a yoga practice into their daily life and Ashtangis.

WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION
This 2 hour workshop is focused on exploring the Ashtanga Primary Series. We will open with breath work and a led standing sequence with counting. Shawn will break down the basic elements of seated vinyasas and teach you progressive drills to help you build strength. From there, we will progress through the primary series with a workshop-style breakdown of each pose with time to practice and explore.

This workshop is intended to elevate your practice and provide a foundation for those contemplating a regular Ashtanga practice. Previous experience with the primary series would be beneficial but it is not required.

Yoga Sculpt = strength + sweat.

This class is mostly strength and conditioning with a HIIT-style format. We use hand weights and bodyweight exercises in structured strength sequences designed to build muscle, boost endurance, and get your heart rate up.

There’s very little traditional yoga — no long flows or extended stretching. Instead, expect:

Strength-based circuits

Functional movement

Cardio bursts

Muscle fatigue (in the best way)

Think fitness class energy with a mindful edge. You’ll leave sweaty, strong, and feeling accomplished.

Perfect if you:

Love lifting and conditioning

Want to build strength + definition

Prefer movement over stillness

Want a high-energy, results-driven workout

⚠️ If you’re looking for a slow flow or deep stretch, this isn’t it.
🔥 If you want a powerful, music-driven strength workout, Yoga Sculpt is your class.
