We join the Lyme community in mourning the unexpected passing of Dr. Charles Crist. Dr. Crist was known simply as the "Lyme doctor" to many. Patients from all over the Midwest traveled to see him as, for a very long time, he was the only physician in our area who recognized the existence of tick-borne disease. He was a kind and dedicated man, and he contributed substantially to my knowledge of Lyme disease and its treatment when I first started working with patients who had tick-borne infections.

He will be greatly missed.

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Medical Office Receptionist to join our patient‑centered healthcare team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others, and takes pride in creating a welcoming first impression for patients and families.

Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients with professionalism and warmth
- Answer multi‑line phones, schedule appointments, and manage provider calendars
- Check patients in and out and collects office fees
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Assist with general office tasks
- Coordinates communication between patients, providers, and clinical staff
- Keep the front desk area clean, organized, and efficient

Qualifications
- Previous medical office or customer service experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized under pressure
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) is a plus
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
