“We kept on hitting walls. Two steps forward, one step back.” 🔁

For so long, this sweet girl’s family searched for answers. She was struggling with slurred speech, frequent tantrums, and trouble listening, and nothing seemed to make a lasting change.

She also was not processing the sensation of pain normally and never seemed to respond to what seemingly should have hurt! 😳

Mom shared, “We have tried Applied Kinesiology, detoxes, speech therapy, body code, allergy tests, gut detox, and so much more.”

When they went to their PX Docs office and saw her neurological scans, “everything made more sense on why and how she reacts to her body, life, and others.” For the first time, they finally had answers… and hope. 🙌🏻

Then the changes came quickly. Mom said, “The first time around, we knew it worked when she fell and said ‘ow’ for the first time.” A clear sign Ophelia’s body was finally processing pain the way it should, and she could communicate it!

Now, she’s thriving. “She is communicating better, her tantrums have decreased by 90%, and she has become so independent in the last month. She is giving herself baths, she is dressing herself, and has picked up gardening. She is even becoming conversational.”

💙 Go girl! Watching her find her voice, her calm, and her confidence has been nothing short of miraculous.

“I remember being so excited for her 6-month check-up and left feeling scared, discouraged, and helpless.” 💔

At Tatum’s 6-month doctor’s appointment, they noticed flattening on one side of her head as a result of her having torticollis. She was struggling to reach her milestones and favored one side of her body. She also had terrible reflux. 😩

Mom shared, “Our doctor recommended that we have her fitted for a helmet and physical therapy. Everything was so overwhelming. I reached out to mom groups on Facebook and found recommendations for PX Docs. This led me to reading their testimonials online, and I knew we had to get an appointment.

Instantly, from walking through the door, we felt welcomed, supported, and heard. We left that first appointment feeling so much hope and confidence that we found the best plan to help our daughter.” 🙌🏻

The neurological scans helped reassure them. “The scans were spot on to the problems she was having. It felt like more reassurance because it is something you can see, and it was very accurate to all the problems we went in explaining to the team.”

And after starting care, they noticed big changes in their little girl. 🎉 “We started noticing her head shape was getting better over time, her torticollis was improving, she was reaching milestones equally on both sides, and we also saw improved sleep habits.”

Now, Tatum is thriving. “She has reached and is still reaching all her milestones, her head shape is better than it has ever been, and she no longer favors one side of her body! We could not be more grateful for all the love and support we have received at our PX Docs office!” 💛 Go Tatum!

Hey SFC fam! 👋 You have to hear this inspiring story from our friends at ! 💙👇

Ashley came to PX Docs for prenatal adjustments after experiencing sciatica and sharp pain early in her pregnancy. Back massages from her husband and professional massages just weren’t cutting it, she said! 😆

She shared, “We got married in June 2024 and got pregnant Labor Day weekend 2024 - so everything went pretty quickly! First trimester, I was mostly just nauseous, 2nd trimester was a breeze, and 3rd trimester, I slowly started to feel more pain the bigger I got. I stayed active through my whole pregnancy and worked out until 35 weeks. I just wanted a healthy birth and a healthy baby! And that’s just what I got. :)”

Ashley found PX Docs through a friend and immediately felt at home. “They were so warm and welcoming! I knew I was in the exact right place from day one. So genuine and easy to talk to, whether it be my aches and pains or questions, prepping for being a first-time mom!” 🫶🏼

The adjustments and neurological scans helped her feel empowered and informed. “The scans were very telling and interesting to learn about! They were spot on where my pains were and where to begin and focus for adjustments.”

Ashley continued care throughout her pregnancy and into postpartum, bringing baby Easton along. “Now I go once a week, both me and the baby. Easton has been getting adjusted once a week since he was about 2 weeks old. He’s such a happy and smart baby, and I truly believe coming to our PX Doc is the reason!” 🎉

Ashley even got adjusted when her water broke. “The relief was AMAZING! Highly recommend doing that if you can! They checked in on us multiple times. We are so grateful for them, and they have been such a big part of our journey! I can’t imagine going anywhere else!” ❤️

MEET THE DOCTOR

Dr. Scott Short grew up in a Marine Corps family on the southeastern border of Ohio. With the intention of following in his father’s footsteps, Dr. Short studied at Liberty University where he received his B.S. in Criminal Justice. After being denied military service due to scoliosis, Dr. Short met a successful chiropractor that helped him see the clinical possibilities of chiropractic care. This inspired Dr. Short to pursue his Doctorate in Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA. After graduation, Dr. Short and his family relocated to Moscow, ID to establish Short’s Family Chiropractic. His mission is to deliver the best possible care to the community. Dr. Short has had an opportunity to start his practice along side Moscow Chiropractic Clinic, Palouse Acupuncture and Lotus Transformations.

Dr. Short is a member of the International Chiropractic Association and the Idaho Association of Chiropractic Physicians. He is Advanced Certified in Torque Release Technique and primarily utilizes Palmer Package which includes Gonstead, Diversified, and Thompson techniques. He has been fortunate to have gained experience working with patients of all ages during his internship, including young children, military families, and veterans.
