You & I Mindfulness Mindfulness is a perfect antidote for fast-paced, stress-filled modern life. You & I Mindness offers free access to mindfulness resources. No experience needed.

Open to the public too. Dr. Jamie Derrick a certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher (UCLA Mindful Awareness Research Center, accredited training program). She also spent 100 hours studying MBSR (mindfulness based stress reduction) with Jon Kabat Zinn and colleagues at the University of Massachusetts. She has taught mindfulness classes at University of Idaho and at UCLA to students and staff. She also offers classes in the Moscow community at the Nourish Yoga Studio. She has been offering community classes at the 1912 Center in Moscow this summer. She is a welcoming teacher.

Break almost here… yet, the news cycles never stop; our minds are full; our hearts are aching. And so we come together in practice. For community and resilience. Because we really care.

I will be offering a mindfulness practice Wednesday noon-12:20. During a week like this what is it we most need? Speaking for myself it is some calming for my over-wrought nervous system and a little soothing for my heart. So that is what I plan to offer --- a body-calming/ heart-soothing practice for the times.
All are welcome. No experience needed.

Just bring a pillow; maybe a stuffy; and your beautiful self.

Tomorrow --- Wednesday --- I will offer a resourcing, replenishing mindfulness practice from noon-12:20. We truly need a grounded source of equanimity or evenness for our lives/ our times. But we don't want to lose our heart and soul as humans by numbing out or tuning out. Tomorrow's practice will focus on the rhythm of mindfulness --- dipping into the softness of our caring and troubled hearts while lifting into our rock solid, sturdiness. Both/ and. Both are our birthright.

Again this week, I will offer a mindfulness practice Wednesday (noon-12:20) focused on resiliency to face the overwhelm and the struggle in our lives. The practice calms and eases. And it helps us build ongoing inner stability; profound resilience --- so when we have troubles arise, we have a method to meet them with grounded strength.

Ok, friends. This past week has been one of great suffering. Our humanity aches. Can mindfulness solve this? No. But mindfulness offers a way to hold truth with grounded integrity and stabilizes us enough to hang onto what helps.

Please come for a meditation this Wednesday, noon-12:20 Pacific. I will offer a soothing, grounding practice for what we carry in our hearts.
