Grief is a tricky beast. I describe it as an ocean. It's all consuming at first. Then you tread water and can finally breathe. But those rougue waves come and suck you back under.
This is normal and those waves are unpredictable.
I was at Costco today and walked by a portable heater. I felt the heat on my shoulder and instantly I was reminded of shopping for one of those heaters with my grandpa several years ago.
There in the middle of Costco a rougue wave hit me and I was teary-eyed and overcome with sadness.
Remember grief has no time-line and you don't have to go it alone.
