Irene Terry, 91, of Decatur passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at her home surrounded by her family. A graveside service will be at 12:00 PM on Friday, February 6, 2026 at Courtland Cemetery with Bro. Larry Dyar officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing.

Irene was born on September 2, 1934 to the late Jessie and Lois McGregor Loosier.

Survivors include her children, Jimmy Ray (Angela) Terry, Marlon (Donna) Terry, and Carolyn (Danny) Morris; grandchildren, Patty Lynn Morris, Johnny Ray (Nikki) Morris, Terry (Laurel) Morris, Jordan Ray Terry, Nicole (Lee Jordan) Terry, Morgan (Cody) Hagood; 11 great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; brother, Wayne Loosier; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Terry; parents; daughter, Bobbie Jo Terry; grandson, Jamie Ray Terry; brothers, Clifton Loosier, Carl Loosier, and Don Loosier.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

The family extends their thanks to Decatur Hospice of the Valley, especially Karinol, Carla Tresslin, Rachel, Stephanie, Kenyatta, and Haley. A special thank you is given to her daughter-in-law, Donna Terry.

Linda Whisenant Stricklin, 62, of Russellville, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2026 at North Alabama Medical Center in Florence. Her graveside service will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, February 6, 2026 at Smyrna Cemetery with Billy Wayne White officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing.

Born on April 16, 1963 to the late Earl and Dotsie Hale Whisenant, Linda worked at NHC of Moulton for several years. She enjoyed working with her plants and flowers as well as her pets.

Survivors include her children, Casey Stricklin, and Bradley Stricklin; brother, Larry (Cathy) Whisenant; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, David Stricklin.

Pallbearers will be Casey Stricklin, Larry Whisenant, EJ Carter, and Herbert Knott.

The family extends special thanks to all of Linda's doctors and nurses, especially the 2nd floor Critical Care Unit at NAMC; and also her loving work family at IHP.

Ella Mae Little, 95, of Mount Hope, Alabama passed away Sunday, February 1, 2026 at NHC Healthcare in Moulton, AL.

The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at Midway Memorial Gardens with Josh Thompson officiating. Burial will be at Midway Memorial Gardens.

Ella Mae was born on January 29, 1931 to William and Lassie Jones Pace. Ella loved to sew, making quilts, crocheting afghans, and cross stitching.

Survivors include children, Pamela (Jason) Kerby, JoAnne (Ronnie) White, Beverly (Darrell) Thompson; 15 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Ella Mae was preceded in death by her husband; James Wilburn Little; father, James William Pace; mother, Lassie Jones; son, Wilburn Dewayne Little; daughter, Ella Wonette Shields; grandson, Brent Dewayne Little; sister, Sadie Vess; sister, Betty Bradford; brother, William Pace Jr.; brother, Jimmy Pace; brother, Clayton Pace.

Pallbearers will be Freddie White, Eric Barrett, Josh Thompson, Zack Kerby, Brandon Abbott, Fred Austin, Brett Thompson, Jeremy Moore.

David Larkin Martin III, 75, of Moulton, Alabama passed away Monday, January 26, 2026, at NHC of Moulton. The graveside service will be at 2:00 PM on Monday, February 2, 2026, at Courtland Cemetery with Rev. Chase Ackerman officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing. Burial will be at Courtland Cemetery.

Born on January 2, 1951, to David and Dama Wills Martin, David was a member of The Lawrence County Rotary Club, chairman of The Lawrence County Department of Human Resources, a Lawrence County Attorney, and a member of the Alabama Bar Association. Above all, David was an attentive and diligent father to his son, Dillon.

Survivors include his son, Dillon Martin; sisters, Lane Martin and Anne Martin; and nephew, Edward Schum; and extended family.

David was preceded in death by his parents, David and Dama Martin.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Roger Dale Houston, 74, of Hatton, Alabama passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at North Alabama Medical Center. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Monday, February 02, 2026, at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 12:00 PM on Monday, February 2, 2026, at Lawrence Funeral Home with Dexter Rutherford, Blake Addison, Chris Miller, Tony Arnold, and Ron Edgil officiating. Burial will be at Cave Springs Cemetery in Town Creek.

Born on November 13, 1951, to Roy and Eloise Fretwell Houston, Roger preached at several churches for 47 years which were, Pocohontas Free-Will Baptist Church in Carbon Hill from 1974-1987, New Zion Baptist Church in Lawrence County from 1991-2009, Arley First Baptist Church in Arley from 2009-2012, Central Heights Baptist Church in Florence from 2012-2020, and Hook Street Baptist Church from 2025-present. Roger graduated from Hatton High School in 1970. He later earned his associates degree from Calhoun in 1971, a bachelors from North Alabama in 1973, and his masters in school administration from UAB in 1979. Roger touched many students lives throughout his career in education, and will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.

Survivors include his sister, Shelby Morris; nieces, Jena (Jimmy) Simpson and Ronda (Bob) Branham; nephew, Mark Edgil; great-niece, Jessica Henson; best friend, Blake Addison; special friend, Sheila Horton; brother-in-law, Ronnie (Shan) Edgil; and extended family.

Roger was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Houston; son, Jason Houston; parents, Roy and Eloise Houston.

Pallbearers will be Blake Addison, Jamie Hood, Pete Stewart, Bob Branham, Mark Edgil, Dexter Rutherford, Michael Flannagin, and Derrick Parrish.

Glendale "Tiny" Terry, 72, of Moulton, Alabama passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at his residence surrounded by his loved ones. The family will have a Celebration of Life at a later date.

Born on July 25, 1953, to Carrel and Argean Terry Terry, Glendale was a member of Sandhill Non Denominational Church. He was an avid Alabama football fan. Tiny also enjoyed watching westerns, Nascar, and taking care of his dogs. He had a green-thumb and could grow anything.

Survivors include his son, DeWayne (Melinda) Thompson; grandchildren, Whitney (Jake) Wiggington, Marcus (Olivia) Thompson, and Courtney (Krissy) McLemore; great-grandchildren, Jaxon Wiggington, Kyler Thompson, Ryleigh Wiggington, and Kayden Thompson; brother, Michiel (Cathy) Terry; brother-in-law Kenneth Gillespie; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Glendale was preceded in death by his parents, Carrel and Argean Terry; sister, Felecia Gillespie.

Born on November 21, 1948, to William and Francis Long Murner, Keith was a minister for over 60 years in The United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Deborah Danley Murner; children, Danley (Jessie) Murner; children-in-love, Mallory (Tyler) Graben and their children, Harmony and Soren; Edith (Brandon) Santamaria and their children, Ezra and Elias; Christa (Marty) Frakes and their children, Joshua, Bella, David; and Corbin and her children, Clara Ann and Charlie.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents, William and Francis Murner; brother, Jeffery Murner.

It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of Anthony Lynn Shelton, 63, of Moulton, AL who passed away on January 25, 2026.

The family will host a public visitation at Lawrence Funeral Home from 5pm to 7pm on Friday, January, 30, 2026, with a private celebration of life at a later date.

Anthony was born on November 5, 1962, to Hillard and Betty Johnson Shelton.

He is survived by his children, Jordan(Halie) Shelton, Abigail(Leslie) Terry, Austin(Victoria) Shelton, and Bradley(Jennifer) Crow; his brothers, Alex(Rose) Shelton and Adrean(Jo)Shelton; his grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family would like to express their thanks to Adoration Home health, CCI of Decatur, Decatur Morgan Hospital, and J.W. Sommer Rehabilitation unit for their involvement of his care during this difficult time.

Ann Parker, 71, of Moulton, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2026 at her son's home. A memorial service will be held at a later date with Lawrence Funeral Home assisting the family.

Born on June 3, 1954 to Birtes and Dorothy Parker Hagood, Ann graduated from Lawrence County High School in 1972. She was involved with Relay for Life and enjoyed working in her flower beds and making fried pies for her neighbor, Patrick and for Relay for Life. Ann also liked to play with her dog, Susie, and cat, Pepper, as well as spending time with her son and daughter-in-law.

Survivors include her son, Nick (Teshia) Parker; mother, Dorothy Jean Clayton; sister, Rita Terry; nephew, Keith (Gina) Terry; and several other extended family.

Ann was preceded in death by her father, Birtes Hagood; nephew, Casey Terry; and step-father, Jim Clayton.

Born on November 14, 1986 to Bobby and Melissa Barber Melson, Chad attended Courtland Baptist Church and he loved spending time with his family. He especially loved watching his daughter, Landry, do anything, especially in the band. Chad loved his wife, Aleshia dearly. She was his everything.

Survivors include his wife of 13 years, Aleshia Melson; daughter, Landry (Christian) Hooper; parents, Bobby and Melissa Melson; parents-in-law, John and Donna Simmons; sisters, Christi (Jeremiah) Johnson, and Melissa Melson; brothers, Jason (Ciara) Wiley, and Kevin (Dennise) Melson; niece, Erica Hale; nephews, Dylan (Megan) Turner, Corey (April) Melson; great nieces, Kinsley Melson, and Brooklynn Melson; and other extended nieces, nephews and family.

Chad was preceded in death by his grandparents, Luther and Vernie Melson; grandmother, Peggy Brewington; sister, Bridget Wynn; and nephew, Austin Melson.
