Those who had the privilege of knowing Gayla and Bobby Cobb understood their unwavering dedication to a life of service. Bobby was often recognized by his signature hat, while Gayla was rarely seen without her sunglasses—whether attending a service or simply enjoying a moment together in town. These cherished symbols of their presence and commitment have come to represent a legacy built on compassion, dignity, and excellence. With heartfelt reverence for this legacy, Ellen and Jamie have formally “passed the hat”, entrusting the stewardship of Cobb Funeral Chapel, Cobb Monument Company, and Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens to Rocky Ezell, Managing Director. Rocky is a seasoned funeral service professional, having devoted over 25 years to serving families with the same compassion and dignity held by Gayla and Bobby. It is their sincere hope that the values embodied by Gayla and Bobby will continue to guide the business for many years to come. Ellen and Jamie will always hold the Cobb business near and dear to their hearts, even as they move forward to embrace a new season focused on family and the blessings of homesteading—a well-earned opportunity for rest and renewal.
