Baby’s genetic testing can reveal their s*x and screen for the most common chromosomal abnormalities. Black History Month is a time to recognize excellence, resilience, leadership, and service. We are proud to highlight Cheau Williams, MD, MPH, FACOG, FACS, whose journey reflects dedication to education, military service, medicine, and community impact!

Dr. Williams is a Nashville native and former collegiate athlete at Arkansas Tech. He earned his MSN at Vanderbilt University, completed medical school at Ross University, and finished his OB/GYN residency at TriHealth in Cincinnati. He went on to complete a fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at Beaumont Trenton/Wayne State University.

Dr. Williams is the first black urogynecologist in the region and has brought advanced pelvic health care to thousands of women across South Georgia and the southeastern United States! He also serves as a Trustee on the Colquitt County Hospital Authority. We are so proud to have him as a part of our health system! In addition to this historic accomplishment, he also holds an MPH in Military Disaster Medicine and serves as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Georgia Air National Guard.

Above all, Dr. Williams is a devoted husband and father who enjoys spending time with his family and sharing in life’s simple pleasures. His career reflects a deep commitment to service, whether in the operating room, in uniform, or within the community.

This Black History Month, we celebrate Dr. Cheau Williams for his dedication, leadership, and continued impact on women’s health and military medicine!
