Last but definitely not least 💜 Meet our Deputy CEO, Ms. Neuaviska Braugher, as we close out Women’s History Month by honoring a woman whose impact is felt in every corner of Delta Health Center ✨

For 44 years, Ms. Braugher has been a steady force at Delta Health Center, helping lead with care, wisdom, and service. A registered nurse for more than 40 years, she has dedicated her life to caring for people and strengthening the community.

Before and during her years of service, she also taught at Coahoma Community College and served as Vice Mayor of Shelby for four years, continuing her commitment to community-based leadership.

She is the glue that holds Delta Health Center together. She keeps this place running smoothly, handles whatever comes her way, and wears many hats to make sure patients, staff, and operations stay on track every day. She knows patients by name, creates a personal experience for everyone who walks through the door, and if there is a problem, Ms. Braugher is the one people trust to help fix it.

As Deputy CEO, she serves as the right hand to our CEO and remains deeply committed to helping people and serving the community. Her heart for service is grounded in faith, and in her own words, “I love people, but most of all I love the Lord.”

Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, singing, dancing, playing the piano, and spending time with her children and grandchildren ✨
Thank you, Ms. Braugher, for your leadership, your service, and the love you pour into Delta Health Center every day 💐

Meet Jacqueline Lambert 💜
For Women’s History Month, we are proud to highlight Jacqueline Lambert, a maternal child health advocate, educator, and community leader whose work continues to make a lasting impact across the Delta.

At Delta Health Center, Jacqueline serves as Director of the Maternal Care Coordination Program, where she leads initiatives that support pregnant and postpartum women through education, care coordination, and community-based support systems that strengthen families from pregnancy through early motherhood.

With a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition, Jacqueline brings both academic knowledge and real-world experience to maternal health. She is a Full Spectrum Doula, Certified Lactation Counselor, Childbirth Educator, Certified Mental Health First Aid Instructor, and Certified Women’s Health Specialist. Through these roles, she equips families and professionals with the tools needed to support healthy pregnancies, safe births, and stronger postpartum transitions.

Outside of Delta Health Center, Jacqueline is the founder of Inspirational Doula Services, where she trains and mentors doulas and birth workers to provide compassionate, culturally responsive care in their own communities. Her work focuses on strengthening the maternal health workforce, expanding breastfeeding support, and helping integrate community-based birth support into healthcare systems.

Jacqueline also uses her personal journey as a gun violence survivor and mother to advocate for healing, resilience, and family-centered support for those impacted by trauma and loss.
Through leadership, education, and community partnerships, Jacqueline continues to champion equitable maternal healthcare across the Delta.

Her motto says it best: “Changing a generation one birth at a time.” 🌸👶🏽✨

Meet Dr. Baylee Palasini, a proud Pharmacist at Delta Health Center, serving in the same rural community that helped shape her into the woman she is today. For Women’s History Month 🌸, we are proud to spotlight Dr. Palasini.

Baylee is originally from Leland, Mississippi, and after earning her Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, she knew her purpose was to return home and give back to her community.

Delta Health Center has provided care to some of the most vulnerable communities in the Mississippi Delta, ensuring that individuals and families have access to the health services they deserve.

Through our pharmacy, we work to make medications affordable and accessible, while educating patients on safe and effective use—because health care should never be out of reach.

For Baylee, being a pharmacist is more than a career—it’s a calling. She is passionate about helping others, building trust within the community, and making a difference in the lives of her patients. She is committed to providing individualized services, while treating every patient with the compassion, respect, and attention they deserve.

Serving at Delta Health Center allows her to be part of something bigger: improving lives, closing gaps in health care, and giving hope to the place she will always call home.

Outside of pharmacy, Baylee enjoys spending time with family and friends. She comes from a big sports family—so you can usually find her cheering on a game or making memories with the people she loves.

Her mission 💊
“My goal as a pharmacist is to always go the extra mile for my patients. I strive to build lasting trust and a safe environment for each person I serve, ensuring they feel heard, valued, and cared for.”

Help us celebrate Dr. Palasini, another remarkable woman serving our patients in the Delta.

Dr. Clarke Allen recently highlighted an important issue affecting many older adults across rural communities: access to oral health care. 🦷✨

In her op-ed, she shared how barriers such as transportation, cost, and limited provider access often prevent seniors from receiving routine dental care.

Alongside our partners at the Delta Dental Community Care Foundation, this work helped expand education, preventive services, and dental support for older adults in underserved communities through the Senior Oral Health Partnership Program.

Thank you to our partners who are helping us improve access to care and address real health needs in the communities we serve.

Although Dr. Allen is no longer with Delta Health Center; we at DHC wish her the very best in her future endeavors. 💙

Meet Dr. Inge (ing’ah) Ford, the woman helping protect Delta smiles and strengthen dental care across our communities 🦷

For Women’s History Month🌸, we are proud to spotlight Dr. Inge Ford, our Chief Dental Officer, whose work continues to shape healthier smiles across the Delta and beyond.

Dr. Ford believes oral health starts with understanding the bigger picture. She shares, “Oral health is essential to total health and well-being, and not just about smiles and chewing food. I am passionate about changing notions about oral health and optimizing dental health in the Delta.”

A graduate of the University of Florida College of Dentistry, Dr. Ford brings more than 30 years of experience in both private practice and public health leadership. For twenty years, she owned a private dental practice in Belle Glade, where her passion for serving communities with limited access to quality care grew stronger.

Her experience reaches far beyond the United States, with dental service and outreach in Kenya, Egypt, Central America, and Norway 🌍
Today, she helps expand oral health access through Federally Qualified Health Centers in rural communities like ours here in the Delta, bringing both expertise and a whole-person approach to care.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Ford is also a cyclist, writer, beekeeper, wellness educator, environmental justice advocate, and proud mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother 🐝🚴🏽‍♀️📚
