Hi my name is Sarah, and I’m a Certified Prenatal, Birthing and Postpartum Doula. I am married to a wonderful man and we have four children of our own. Our first two were born in a medical Center, and the second two were born in our home, under the care of a midwife. I have always wanted to be in the Labor and Delivery world, and I am currently working as a midwife assistant and apprentice, while I follow my dream in my education to become a CPM.
My goal as your doula is to support you through your journey into motherhood. We talk about what that looks like to you, and how you invision your birthing experience. My job is to help you achieve that vision. I will be with you every step of the way, through labor, never leaving your side, there are no shift changes. Support is number one, with comfort measures, and techniques that work best for you and your unborn baby. We start with a prenatal visit, and end in postpartum. In home care after birth is available, and highly recommended. Postpartum care includes a variety of services, from light house work to helping you get the hang of breastfeeding. There are many memories in life, but birth is proven to be the most impactful event in a mother’s life. Whether good or bad you never forget. Studies have shown that women who are accompanied by a doula have a better birth experience. That is what we want, to be there to insure the best experience for you as possible.
